[no. 2] Sencire Harris | 6-5 PG | St. Vincent-St. Mary / NEO Tru Game 16U
The North Canton Hoover transfer is a remarkably athletic point guard with great positional size. His defensive impact and scoring ability in the paint are elite. Finishes ambidextrously from either side of the rim, often favoring his off-hand (right hand). Covers so much space as an off-ball and transition defender. Very fluid and quick. His jumper comes and goes, but it’s the only notable hole in his game, albeit a very important aspect of basketball.
[no. 3] Paul McMillan IV | 6-1 PG | Cincinnati Woodward / Manimal Elite 17U
Cincinnati’s top prospect regardless of class, McMillan is as steady and reliable as they come for a young guard. Very poised kid who avoids mistakes. Combines blow-by speed and a tight handle to get to the basket. Finesse finisher with tremendous touch at a dead sprint. Threat to shoot it from the outside, too. Sits down defensively in a low stance and stays in front at the point of attack. Quick hands.
Cincinnati, Ole Miss, and Xavier offered.
[no. 6] Sean Jones | 5-11 PG | Gahanna / All Ohio Red
Fundamentally-sound and highly skilled floor general with a compact body and quickness. Jones combines a low dribble with crafty crossovers to get wherever he wants on the floor. Scores it creatively from the shallow mid-range. Also possesses a pull-up and the ability to finish at the rim in traffic. Beats ball-handlers to spots and picks pockets often.
Grambling and Ohio offered.
[no. 12] Sonny Johnson Jr. | 5-10 PG | Garfield Heights / Ohio Basketball Club
Johnson’s aggressiveness as an outside shooter opens up his slashing game. Quick trigger from beyond the arch and he gets hot in a hurry. Good at re-positioning to make himself available for the kick-out. Quick side-to-side crossover at the arch. Johnson likes to drop a live dribble pass into the middle of the lane when the defense collapses on him. Good feel. Laterally quick.
Penn State and Stetson offered.
[no. 14] DJ Moore | 6-3 G | Worthington Christian / Indy Heat
Athletic power player with a down-hill slashing game. Moore can get all the way to the cup but often unselfishly delivers drive-and-kick assists to teammates. Demands help-side on the attack. Uses his strength to get inside. Mismatch for puny point guards, who he will occasionally post-up.
Ohio and Miami (OH) offered.
[no. 15] Dior Conners | 6-1 G | Pickerington North / Indiana Elite
Open floor playmaker who finishes with euro steps and other elusive gathers around the rim. Long prospect with good positional size. Likes to push tempo.
Ohio offered.
[no. 19] Michael Bova | 6-0 PG | St. Edward / All Ohio Red
Ferocious at-the-rim scorer. Marvelous blow-by speed and ability to finish ambidextrously with body control. Uses a low center of gravity and strong body to bump his way past defenders. Flashes a pull-up game from the elbow. Great motor. Impactful team and on-ball defender. Bova was frequently All Ohio Red’s most productive offensive player this summer.
[no. 20] Danny Young Jr. | 6-0 PG | Shaker Heights / C2K Elite
Speedy ball-handler with an outside jumper who makes impressive drive-and-kick plays. Gets to his spots. Unselfish distributor. Young can score it with immense range, which lures defenders way too far out considering his speed.
Akron offered.
[no. 29] Luke Denbow | 6-1 G | Ashland / C2K Elite
High-IQ point guard with the quickness and athleticism to eventually draw D-I looks. Paces the team and keeps everyone involved. Shows poise and unselfishness as a slasher.

[no. 31] Nate Houston | 5-11 G | Rogers / Hopson Elite
Heady and unselfish combo guard with good burst. Houston is quick off the ground — including on second jumps — and with his first step. Efficient creator, mostly needing just one dribble to get space for his jumper. Great use of the jab step. Finishes in traffic. Knows where to be defensively and communicates. Catch-and-shoot threat.
[no. 32] Jerry Saunders | 6-0 G | Pickerington North / Nova (Reese)
Skilled combo guard with a score-minded approach. Saunders has a smooth shooting release and is especially tough when he receives a pass on the wing. He, too, can get to the basket as a primary ball-handler and likes to get to his floater in the short mid-range. Smart passer and good feel.
[no. 33] Robert Dorsey | 5-8 G | Northland / JH1 Elite
Quick and efficient playmaker who usually plays on the wing but shows point guard skills. High-IQ. Mostly shoots a pull-up or dishes it to a shooter after one-dribble. Scores contested baskets with touch. Finishes with balance off two-feet. Lengthy.
Ohio offered.
[no. 36] Mekhi Elmore | 5-11 PG | Thurgood Marshall / Team Flyght
Crafty left-handed guard who can provide both scoring and distributing. He can hoist crafty floaters and layups near the rim but knows when to kick it out. Streaky shooter. Possesses of growth potential.
[no. 47] Ajay Sheldon | 5-9 PG | Coffman / Mid Ohio Pumas (Sheldon)
With three-year starter Dominiq Penn off to Tennessee, Sheldon is poised to the reigns in Dublin this season. Fundamentally sound player with toughness. Stretches the floor with great shooting range, even off the dribble. Finishes in the lane and has a tireless motor.
[no. 48] Khalil Luster | 5-4 PG | Lima Senior / C2K Elite
When you’re a freshman starting point guard in a talented high school program at 5-foot-4, you’re probably elite in a few areas: skill, IQ, quickness, and shooting. Luster fits that bill. He buckles knees with dynamic crossovers. Consistently delivers the right pass. Drills open shots consistently. Beats ball-handlers to spots and causes disruption at the point of attack.
[no. 53] Dan Wagner | 5-9 PG | Africentric / All Ohio Red
Athletic lead guard poised to take over as Africentric’s floor general according to scouts who watched the Nubians in June. Wagner is a sound decision-maker that’s effective in the halfcourt and open floor. Good finisher.
[no. 54] Max Roth | 5-11 G | Findlay / Ohio Buckets
Consistent all-around player with athleticism and a good pull-up jumper. Roth competes on both ends of the floor. Quick kid who stays in front and, conversely, gets to his spots off the bounce. Good shooter. Finishes in traffic. Prefers to push pace.
[no. 55] JJ Simmons | 5-10 G | Beechcroft / JH1 Elite
Strong kid that plays with an edge. Simmons likes to get to the basket in physical ways but also flashes an elusive handle. Good shooter who aggressively seeks the opportunity to pull-up. Defends with his chest.
