What exactly makes these shooting guards’ ceilings so very high? …
[no. 1] Malaki Branham | 6-5 SG | St. Vincent-St. Mary / NEO Tru Game
This spring and summer, Branham proved — alongside being a remarkably fluid athlete — he can just about do it all. Versatile as they come at the guard spot. Defends forwards and point guards alike. Plus rebounder. Shooting it increasingly well from the outside. Skilled and athletic finisher in traffic. His short mid-range game and ability to get to his spot in one or two dribbles is unparalleled in this class.
Cincinnati, Illinois, Missouri, Ohio State, and Xavier offered.
[no. 8] EJ Farmer | 6-4 SG | Cleveland Heights / Ohio Basketball Club
Creates perimeter shots at will. Comfortable shooting contested shots on step-backs and similar gathers. The lefty’s outside jumper tends to be streaky but we believe the night-in-night-out consistency is on the horizon. Farmer flashed more willingness and effectiveness attacking closeouts in June.
Miami (OH), Ohio, and Eastern Michigan offered the Lutheran East transfer.
[no. 23] Chance Groce | 6-4 SG | Linden-McKinley / Columbus 101
Skilled off-the-dribble scorer from the wing. Finishes off two-feet in the lane. Quick side-to-side game. Shoots it well. Uses creative gathers to cut through traffic in the paint.

[no. 28] Anthony McComb | 6-2 SG | Thurgood Marshall / NEO Tru Game
Athletic wing who is very productive around the rim. Defends multiple positions. Mostly scores at the cup on straight-line-drives and in transition. Plays hard. Extremely quick and fast. Displays impressive footwork leading to one-foot finishes. Plus rebounder. Can defend most perimeter players.
[no. 44] Darius Parham | 6-2 SG | Bishop Ready / Nova (Lemon)
Few players have improved more than Parham since the summer of 2018. Also more lean, he’s now an effective scorer at almost every level of floor. Shoots it well off motion or the catch. Uses a strong body to go inside and finish through contact. Skilled ball-handler. Making less risky decisions as a passer.
[no. 49] Isaac Settles | 6-5 SG | Thomas Worthington / Ohio Hoopsters – Tillman
Blends great power with quickness to be an effective slasher and high-upside defender. Settles flashes outside shooting ability but is always good for a few physical straight-line-drives per game. Capable of applying pressure to ball-handlers because of his size and lateral quickness.
[no. 53] Jackson Holt | 6-2 SG | Turpin
Long wingspan and an elite jump shot. Holt shot 46.8 percent on 124 3-point attempts as a sophomore, averaging 15.7 points. Yet, Holt is also a capable ball-handler who can slash and provide secondary ball-handling. Makes contested shots over the top and flashes crafty finishing ability.
[no. 56] Brady Lichtenberg | 6-2 SG | Toledo St. John’s
Lichtenberg is a Division I quarterback prospect whose efficient scoring ability (in basketball) would be welcomed on numerous college rosters. Terrific one-dribble pull-up that often comes after a shot fake from 3. Leader. Poised and competitive. Crafty scorer in the short mid-range after a jump stop.
