[no. 39] Jakada Stone | 6-0 PG | Aiken / BTC Prophets
Stone provides a calmness to his team and floor spacing. Very reliable ball-handler and decision-maker. Shows flashes of driving and kicking but mostly affects scoring with his outside jumper and by feeding wings. Efficient. Values possession.
[no. 50] Keaton Norris | 5-10 G | Bradley / Mid Ohio Pumas (Norris)
Intriguing combo guard due to his understanding of the game, skill, and outside shooting. Plays mistake-free basketball most of the time. Shoots it with D-I collegiate range, which puts pressure on the defense when he’s sharing the backcourt with a slasher. Smart team defender.
[no. 51] Luke Chicone | 5-9 PG | Mentor / TNBA Ohio
Youngstown State commit. Chicone will be one of the catalysts for Mentor this coming season, a team on the short list of Northeast Ohio regional championship contenders. His playmaking ability, outside shooting, and quickness with the basketball are all elite qualities. Controls pace.
[no. 52] Ramelle Arnold | 5-11 PG | Warrensville Heights / NEO Tru Game
Dynamic ball-handler with a quick side-to-side crossover. Gets wherever he wants on the floor because of his low-dribble and speed. Forced to finish from low angles and does so with craft.
[no. 55] Henry Hinkle | 5-10 PG | Olentangy Liberty / Nova (Lemon)
Smooth and witty playmaker who poses a threat to shoot it or drive. Hinkle shoots a very high percentage on catch-and-shoot triples. He also attacks the closeout and crosses defenders over to get inside. From there, Hinkle is an impressive facilitator, often creating inside-out open triples. Effective in a transition or halfcourt game.
[no. 58] Tae Perie | 6-0 PG | Buchtel / Ohio Basketball Club
Perie is a skilled player who impresses in the pick-and-roll and as an outside shooter. Occasionally displays the ability to go into the short mid-range for a floater or crafty one-foot finish. Perie mostly, though, scores on triples and drops clever bounce passes when he puts it on the floor.
He’d probably average 15 points at many high schools but plays a more limited role for the supremely talented Buchtel Griffins.
[no. 59] Chanze Amerson | 6-1 PG | Thurgood Marshall / Team Flyght
Lot of potential in Amerson. Displays a natural feel — especially in the open floor — and is a twitchy athlete with good positional size. Fast. High hips. Fluid operator who slips into the lane with his dribble. Finishes well.
[no. 60] Sirr Hughes | 5-10 G | Lutheran East / Ohio Basketball Club
Hughes is a quick slasher with a strong two-foot floater in the lane. He defends with energy and has the quickness to stay in front of mostly everyone. Blow-by speed.
[no. 61] Greg Johnson | 6-2 G | Princeton / C2K Elite
Remarkably fluid and quick athlete who impacts the game greatly with defensive pressure and energy. Plus rebounder. Capable of staying in front of guys for 94 feet, constantly making them turn. Becoming a more confident shooter will open up his slashing ability.
[no. 64] Allen Lattimore | 6-1 G | Stivers / Team Flyght
High-IQ combo guard who excels in a fast pace game. Lattimore’s main threat is his outside jumper. Quick ball-handler who can crossover or use changes of speeds to get into the lane. Doesn’t force it and finds open teammates.
