[No. 56] Dakota Cochran | 6-2 SG | Shaker Heights
Although we didn’t see Cochran on the grassroots scene in 2019, we’ve always viewed him as a D-II prospect because of his blend of strength and burst, combined with his ability to shoot. Spaces the floor as a catch-and-shoot threat. Cochran can also attack the closeout. Physical perimeter defender who applies pressure. Can defend 1 through 3.
[No. 62] Mason Loeffler | 6-3 SG | Evergreen / All Ohio Gold
If Loeffler was playing high school ball at a traditional power in Columbus, Cleveland, or Cincinnati, he’d probably have an offer or two to his name. But he has fallen through the cracks a bit.
Efficient scorer with a consistent outside jumper. He can score it off the bounce in few dribbles, both straight-line-driving or juking side-to-side after his dribble is cut-off. Good size and athleticism. His ability to finish in traffic — which isn’t a weakness — will improve as he fills out physically.
[No. 65] Carson Ryan | 6-4 SG | Struthers
Physically impressive athlete who can score it from all three levels. Utilizes a size and athletic advantage when he’s heading to the basket. Good scoring touch. Plus rebounder at his position.
[No. 85] Kyle Szumski | 6-2 SG | Medina / SMAC Primetime
Once thought of as a complete specialist as a catch-and-shoot threat, an unexpected jump in his physical development opened our eyes. Szumski can still hit consistently with immense range. The shooting threat is now complemented by his ability to attack the rim and absorb contact from shot-blockers. Good team defender.
[No. 89] Luke Powell | 6-2 SG | Barnesville / Hidden Gems Orange
Lengthy knock-down shooter who battled through a sprained ankle in late-July. Connects on catch-and-shoot opportunities along with one-dribble pull-ups. Capable ball-handler and good decision-maker.
[No. 95] Mike Grant | 6-4 SG | Walnut Hills
Grant possesses size, quickness, and slashing ability. He likes to attack the basket and provides a rebounding presence as a perimeter player. Christian Brothers offered in mid-July.
[No. 104] Bryce Profitt | 6-2 SG | Medina Highland
Profitt’s outside shooting ability and athletic build impresses. He has good size for an off-ball guard and can shoot it over the top because of his high-release. Point Park offered in late-June.
[No. 112] Adam Chaney | 6-4 SG | Carrollton
Chaney combines height with shooting ability. Confident outside shooter with a quick release. At the OHSBCA Showcase, Chaney hunted chances to launch his outside jumper even in transition. Flashed the ability to finish inside with finesse moves and impressive touch in traffic.
[No. 113] Derrick Hardin | 6-1 SG | Worthington Christian / Nova (Lemon)
Remarkably quick first step and the ability to get his shot off in a hurry. Very consistent shooter of the basketball, even under duress or in motion. Slight of frame but a skilled, score-minded weapon.
[No. 129] Kelen Dietrich | 6-1 SG | Oak Hills / Shining Star s – Price
Dietrich is a stellar catch-and-shoot player who has built up his ability to put it on the floor and make a play. Great shooting mechanics. Plays hard. Delta State offered.
