“Do you think RJ Hampton’s move was wise? Do you think he’s undervaluing the platform that is college basketball?” – @wheres_perry27
College basketball is going to be fine even though we will not be seeing RJ Hampton in the states this upcoming year. There is still a lot of incoming talent to programs this upcoming year and we are going to see a lot of freshman take over the headlines once again. With that being said, we are going to see prospects follow the Hampton route every once in a while but from talking to a lot of people, there is going to be no real desire to do what Hampton is doing. Many of the top prospects are focusing on their future college path instead of an international route.
“Which non powerhouse ACC school has impressed you with their 2020 recruiting class effort so far?” – @CommandoRandall
I am going to give the nod to Syracuse. They have one 2020 commit in Woody Newton who is from the DMV area. I think he is going to fit in well with the Orange. Newton is a 6’8 athletic wing that can do a lot on both ends of the floor. Offensively, he can shoot the ball from all areas on the court, finishing in transition and above the rim. Defensively, he can guard and should be a great piece in the 2-3 zone that Syracuse runs night in and night out.
“How well attended by college coaches, is the Peach Invitational?” – @wheres_perry27
The Peach Invitational also known as the PIT is definitely a great event for college coaches to attend. All of these teams have numerous division one prospects and have been evaluated all spring. These teams were all watched by coaches when playing the team thats qualified for Peach Jam but just because they are not in Peach Jam, this will still be one of the most attractive events to attend during the lone live period in July thanks to the good service by Separation Sports.
