In part 2, college coaches will find forward/center prospects potentially suitable for the D1 and D2 levels, depending on their development here soon. You can read the list of evals from part 1 here.
2021 6’5 PF/C Jahylen Tuimolao (Eastside Catholic HS) – I really try to steer away from giving big J.T. too much publicity on the floor due to the fact his number one sport is football, but his performance was too undeniable. He has an unbelievable skill set for a football player with his size and youth. He held his own versus some of the top basketball prospects in the region. D1 schools said they would take him for basketball right now, but he will be playing a different sport on Saturdays and then very likely Sundays after that.
2021 6’10 C Gavin Gilstrap (Central Valley HS) – A bit of a throwback big with imposing size at 6’10. He has a big, strong body that can clog the paint and alter shots on the defensive end, but his offensive skill set still has a ways to go. Gavin has a pretty good touch on his free throws and I would like to see him at the line a lot more often given his size inside the paint. His level of recruitment is still up in the air, but there are not too many 6’10’s walking around Washington.
2020 6’9 C Kaleb Lichau (Peninsula HS) – Thin framed center prospect that can block and alter some shots. He would really take his game to the next level with added muscle and strength in his core.
2020 6’9 C Will Abram (Arlington HS) – Imposing defensive post prospect with a high ceiling. His athleticism has really come around in the last year. Will held his own versus all of the bigs in the event. He has a developing offensive skill set right now with a lot of room for growth. He needs to get his feet positioned and gather a lot quicker to finish in the paint consistently. Will is a good rebounder that can board outside of his area.
2020 6’11 C Dishon Jackson (St. Patrick St. Vincent HS/CA) – Long and strong frame at 6’11. Dishon is a developing prospect that has really solid potential. The biggest thing with Dishon is finding a way to keep his motor running hot on every play. If he does, he could be a very good player and impact the game at the D1 level. Either way, he will get recruitment attention due to his size and some natural ability.
2020 6’8 PF Kendall Munson (Rainier Beach HS) – Kendall is a prospect all of the coaches have known about for almost 4 years now. He has good shoulders and moves very well laterally for being 6’8. On offense, the biggest question mark moving forward will be the consistency on his shot from 15 feet and the free throw line. Multiple coaches mentioned if he can sure that up, he will be a good player at the Division 1 level.
