The majority of the “out of state” players were from Oregon, but there was also some top performers I evaluated from Nevada, Alaska and Idaho. The players included in this list have not been previously mentioned in our post-event coverage, so this is not a list of the absolute best out of state performers.
Non-Washington Standouts:
2020 6’5 SF Colby Gennett (Post Falls HS/ID) – Colby did not do a single flashy thing during the showcase, but he was a consistent solid performer that made winning plays. He does all of the little things to help team win and his production was not overlooked in my view, as his group won the event. At 6’5, he is a good rebounder and can grab it and push some. Colby was selective with his shots, but proved to be a catch and shoot threat from three. He really fits into the team concept. A solid small college prospect.
2020 6’0 G Chris Lee (Ketchikan HS/AK) – Chris really played well in game one. He attacked the basket and scored from the outside at a high rate. He displayed super confidence on the floor and had a good all around showing coming from Alaska.
2020 6’3 G Evan Inglesby (Sam Barlow HS/OR) – Hard working guard that really hustled throughout the event. Evan displayed solid fundamentals on both sides of the ball, but he really caught my attention at times with his athleticism, seemingly out of nowhere. A solid prospect out of Oregon!
2021 6’4 G Nathan Meithof (McNary HS/OR) – Nathan had a strong game number two. He showed a lot of potential due to his length and athleticism. Nate scored in transition and made plays on both sides of the ball. He has a knack for scoring around the basket and getting his shot off. One of the best 2021’s out of Oregon that attended the event.
2020 6’3 G Micah Garrett (Jefferson HS/OR) – Micah had a strong day one. He made plays consistently and stood out due to his motor, athleticism and aggression on the floor. He also showed the ability to knock down the 3-ball.
2020 6’3 F Martel Williams (Silverado HS/NV) – His 6’3 listing might be generous, but Martel was a grown man amongst boys. His mixture of strength, aggression and explosiveness made him tough for most players in the event to handle. He has some Draymond Green to his game as an undersized forward, but he can do a little bit of everything on the court. If he were 2-3 inches taller, he would be a clear cut high major Division 1 recruit, but his performance was deserving of college attention at some level either way.
