Today was the first day of Ryan Silver’s West Coast Elite, Summer Tip-Off. The tournament features a large amount of Powerhouse and West Coast Elite teams as the two organizations are very close in ties with one another. 

Powerhouse 16 UAA was playing up in the 17U bracket and did a fairly good job. The team went 1-1, losing to a WCE squad and beating a team all the way from New Zealand. Brett Hardt Jr. played very well all day long. I also liked how much energy Ky Oliver brought to the team. He was like a spark plug and came up with some big players when they needed it most. DaRon Holmes, JT Elder, and D’Marco Dunn looked good in flashes as well throughout the day.
