Kase Peterson 6’6 PF 2020 Herriman (UBC Elite 17U)
Peterson is doing his best to transition to being more of a wing. However, at this point, he is best on the block for offense and defense. Defensively, he is able to combat being slightly undersized due to his strength and quickness. Offensively, he is a bruiser who likes to bully opposing wings and posts. As he continues to shift his game, he could be a match-up nightmare who can post up smaller guards and rip attack bigs from the wing.
Zachary Visentin 6’8 C 2020 Springville (UBC Elite 17U)
Visentin was widely talked about by college coaches. Due to his strong play, shortly after the event, he earned an offer from Idaho State. Visentin is strong and has good footwork on the block. Further, he is willing to do the dirty work that many bigs won’t do. He sets good screens, crashes the glass, and competes on every possession. He still has work to do, but he played extremely well this past weekend.
Quinnten Bennett 6’6 C/PF 2021 Weber (UBC Elite 16U)
Bennett was really intriguing. Unfortunately, at times, the guards struggled to get the basketball up the court or to him on the block which limited his effectiveness. However, when he did get touches on the block, he was really effective. He showed that he can improve angles for dump offs and finishes. Further, he showed a nice drop step finish series as well.
Collin Hegsted 6’8 C 2020 Orem (Utah Mountain Stars Gold 17U)
Hegsted was not necessarily responsible for scoring the basketball as the Utah Mountain Stars have plenty of prospects who do that at a high level. However, he did his role extremely well: Be tough and compete. He provides the team with length and toughness. He competes on the glass and packs the paint on the defensive end. He is a valuable piece to an extremely talented team.
