Abraham Rangel 5’11 PG 2022 Centennial (AZ Hype)
Rangel is a pass first point guard at this point. He makes good decisions with the basketball and puts his teammates in spots where they can make plays. He plays hard on both sides of the floor and competes. No matter the time or the situation, he seeks to make plays where they can win games. I liked his feel for the game.
EnoShay Cain EnoShay Cain 6'4" | SF Phhoenix Prep Post Grad | 2022 State AZ 6’3 PG/SG 2021 Agua Fria (AZ Venom)
Cain is very confident letting that basketball fly into almost any window. With that said, he does fit some passes into nice spots and creates for himself at the rim. He is a very impressive athlete who has turned into more of a ball dominant point guard who plays well with guys who move without the basketball. He is constantly surveying the floor and trying to find guys.
Isaiah Marin 6’4 PG 2019 Buckeye (Legion of Hoops 17U Black)
Marin’s length gave him attention from a number of college coaches this weekend. Further, they loved his feel for the game as a pass first point guard. He does a good job of getting the basketball out quickly and making reads. He puts a lot of pressure on opposing guards when he gets a chance to play fast. In the half court, he hit some shots and moved the ball well.
Elijah Cole Elijah Cole 6'5" | SF Shadow Mountain | 2021 State AZ 6’4 PG 2021 Shadow Mountain (Legion of Hoops 17U Black)
Cole provided Legion of Hoops with another lengthy guard who can put pressure on defenses. Further, his length allows him to guard multiple spots on the floor. The mixture of Cole and Marin gave the Legion of Hoops arguably the most intriguing backcourt in the event due to their length.
Jimari Grayson Jimari Grayson 6'1" | PG Mesa | 2021 State AZ 6’0 PG 2021 Apache Junction (Legion of Hoops 16U White)
Grayson has become one of my favorite point guards in the class of 2021. He is a bully. He makes one move and gets to wherever he wants to get to on the floor. In addition to touching paint like it is going out of style, Grayson shot the basketball well as well. He is a crafty guard who puts a lot of pressure on opposing defenses. While he is a little undersized for his style of play, he has the opportunity to play this game at the next level.
