Ikenna Obi 6’5 PF 2021 Liberty (AZ Hype 16U)
Obi still has a lot of work to do in order to be a big time varsity contributor. However, he has good size and a good motor. He plays extremely hard and sprints the floor the entire game. If he continues to grow in stature and in skill, he could end up being a huge part of an already long Liberty basketball team.
Foune Doucoure Foune Doucoure 6'8" | C St. Mary's | 2022 State AZ 6’8 PF 2023 Liberty (AZ Hype 16U)
Doucoure spent more time on the perimeter than he did on the block throughout the event. With that said, he is strong and does have good footwork on the block. Further, he has improved his ability to rip and get to a hip. Doucoure is raw but his upside is through the roof. He is a prospect that NCAA D1s need to have on their lists as he has the ability to end up at multiple levels.
EnoShay Cain EnoShay Cain 6'4" | SF Phhoenix Prep Post Grad | 2022 State AZ 6’3 PG/SG 2021 Agua Fria (AZ Venom 16U)
Cain has transitioned to being primarily the point guard for this team on offense and being the center on defense. Further, he plays in the back of the team’s 1-2-1-1. Due to his athleticism, he is able to get the rebound and immediately push the basketball in transition. Moreover, despite being an undersized center, he finds a way to block an impressive amount of shots and also collect steals. Offensively, he was a mismatch nightmare for opponents.
Jalen Johnson 6’6 SF 2019 Bella Vista (Legion of Hoops White 17U)
Johnson is an athletic specimen. He is long and athletic. Further, he shoots the basketball at a high level. His length and athleticism make college coaches extremely excited about his potential upside. He has the uncoachables that immediately make him pass the eye test and could end up resulting in him being a successful college basketball prospect.
Tanner Poeschl Tanner Poeschl 6'6" | PF Skyline | 2020 State AZ 6’7 PF 2020 Skyline (Legion of Hoops White 17U)
At this point, Poeschl is more of a power forward. However, he is a supreme athlete with incredible timing on the defensive side of the ball. He rotates well and is capable of meeting the best of athletes at the rim. Further, he has a good motor and plays whatever role he is asked to play. He showed some wing skills and as those continue to improve, Poeschl has the ability to play multiple positions defensively which makes his value higher.
Matur Dhal Matur Dhal 6'10" | C Phhoenix Prep | 2021 State AZ 6’10 C 2021 Powerhouse Prep (Powerhouse Hoops Black 16U)
Dhal is still far from a finished product. However, he has improved his basketball IQ and understanding of how to make an impact in a game. While I did not see him make many back to the basket moves, I did see an improved understanding of the angles of the game. He moves well without the basketball which puts him in spots for dump offs and slips. Defensively, he has a good feel for rim protection and rotates well to alter or block shots.
Isaiah Marin 6’4 PG 2019 Buckeye (Legion of Hoops Black 17U)
Marin immediately draws the attention of D1 coaches due to his length and passing abilities. It is rare to find a 6’4 point guard who can breakdown defenders and create for his teammates at the level that Marin can. His length and awareness enables him to play multiple positions on the offensive and defensive end. With that said, he is best as a pass first point guard.
