It seems like our readers really enjoyed that type of content due to the high viewing numbers it got in its first day live. So I decided to expand it a little bit more and give the people more content that they want! Here are the top guards of the summer!
*Disclaimer: I only evaluate the players that I have physically seen play in person.
Kyree Walker 6’5 2020 G Hillcrest Prep/Dream Vision
Kyree Walker played as you would imagine Kyree Walker would play. Everyone knows this guy now on a more national level and know what to expect. He did exactly what he was supposed to do. I love watching Walker play when he gets that killer mentality and attacks his defenders.
Dalen Terry 6’6 2020 G Hillcrest Prep/Compton Magic
Dalen Terry made shock waves when he announced his college decision early last week. Definitely a very early commitment, but he knew where he wanted to go! Terry is one of the most versatile guards in the country, standing at 6’6. Terry has an insanely high ceiling and is only matched by his will to win.
Evan Nelson 6’2 2020 G Salpointe Catholic/Powerhouse Rise
Nelson had a terrific season. He came into a PHH Rise team and ran the show. Evan Nelson is one of the top guards on the west coast and he has the offers to prove it. His recruitment took a big jump up this summer and he is expected to narrow down his choices very soon.
Ty Ty Washington 6’3 2021 G Cesar Chavez/Vegas Elite
Washington put himself on the map this summer. Everyone is Arizona knew how good he was and how good he could be. This summer did wonders for him in terms of national attention. His recruitment absolutely took off and he now has some big time schools interested in him, like ASU and Nevada.
D’Marco Dunn 6’4 2021 G Marana/Powerhouse UAA
Dunn sparked the flame of his recruitment. Once he was a very unknown prospect out of Tucson, he is now a very well known name. Dunn has received his first offer and has created a long of mid level D1 attention/interest for himself. I believe that he is only going to get better and his recruitment will continue to take off.
