Every year, some of the best players in the state go unnoticed and slide under the radar. Because of this, some lower division schools have benefitted from signing some of Louisiana’s unnoticed talent. In this edition of unranked, we will take a look at guards and wings that have flown under the radar until now. After this summer and upcoming season, they may not be unnoticed much longer.

Charquez Owens / Ouachita High / 6’2″ / 2020 (pictured above)

The Lions were about 4 minutes from advancing to the 5A championship game despite Jalen Cook’s othewordly performance.  Charquez Owens was the main reason.  He led Ouachita in scoring that game and was one of the main defenders that helped them lead
