The Finale in OKC Weekend Standouts
The Finale in OKC featured tons of talent from across the region. Over 60 college coaches were in attendance with many guys in this article picking up interest or offers.
Brayden Dutton 2022 H&H Elite Guard
Dutton might be the find of the tournament from the Oklahoma perspective. This young man lit it up. No seriously. 28, 22, 26, and 29 in the semifinals. Dutton is a sharpshooter from the outside with some swag to his game. I’m excited to see what he turns into over the next couple of years.
Daniel Abreu 2020 Missouri Flight Blue Wing
Abreu can play inside out which gives him so much value on the court. He could be a 3 or a mismatch four in college depending on the system. I like him best as a 3. He can drive get the rack with his strength to finish. Abreu can also shoot it a little and seems to be improving each time I see him play.
Austin Brewer 2020 Team FOE Elite Forward
Brewer had himself a big man party blocking shots and rebounding the ball at an extremely high level. At 6’11 he gives a team a force Dow low. Offensively, Brewer scores it well with a soft touch around the rim.
Justus Cooper 2020 Team Cooper Forward
This kid is a winner! He played his tail end off at all times this weekend. If there was rebound, steal, or loose ball to be had Cooper was going to track it down. He scores tough buckets in the paint with crafty strong moves. He is also strong as a bull. Cooper has a couple of D1 offers with a good chunk of D2s. It was easy to see why.
N’Kozi Harris 2020 Team Buddy Buckets Forward
Rebounds were hard to come by for Buddy Buckets on Championship Sunday. When Buddy found themselves down for the count it was Harris huge boards and putbacks taking them to victory. He goes unnoticed to often on this group but showed his value big time Sunday.
Ja’Bryant Hill 2020 Team FOE Point Guard
Hill put on a show scoring the ball very efficiently at the Point. Gamer is a great way to describe him on the court. Team FOR has him doing a little bit of everything. Hill is a no brainer college prospect. D2’s had lots of interest in his game from the weekend.
Paul Otieno 2020 KC Pacers Forward
Otieno is a mismatch four-man that possibly could be a Wing in the future. He is super strong helping him to finish with ease inside. This weekend he played with great toughness and energy. I love the way he leads his teammates. He has lots of D2 interest with some D1 as well.
Sam Godwin 2020 Team Buddy Buckets Forward
Godwin makes the list for his great effort he constantly displayed this weekend. Coaches talk a lot about covering more than just your area for a rebound and he does just that and more. When the ball goes up I’d take my chances he is going to come down with it. Godwin was also active on offense around the rim.
Christian Cook 2020 Team Buddy Buckets Guard
Cook was a scoring machine this weekend for Team Buddy Buckets. He scored it well from the perimeter and driving inside. Look for more D2 offers to come following his showing. Cook is a smooth operating machine with the ball in his hands scoring it. Low Major D1’s should give Cook a look in my opinion.
Nate Goodlow 2020 Team Griffin Guard
Goodlow is everywhere on the floor. He flies into the lane like a wreaking ball getting to the cup and finishing. The speed of Goodlow with his athleticism is hard to defend. He is attracting tons of D2 interest with a few offers in his back pocket. The crazy part.. he was playing with a hurt hand needing stitches.
Ben Emmert 2020 Team Griffin Wing
Emmert flies under the radar on this Griffin squad. He is the perfect role guy fitting the 3 and D spot. Shooting is his forte for sure. He showed lots of intangibles this weekend, which is what I believe pushes him to be a D2 Level player. His size and length adds to his value.
Jordan Thompson 2020 Team Buddy Buckets Point Guard
Thompson is calm and collected at all times. In the biggest moments of games, there are not many other Point Guards in the state that I’d rather have with the ball. He makes the right plays with the rock. Thompson excelled shooting, driving and kicking it off to open teammates.
Zytarious Morlte 2021 Team Harden Wing
Bouncy! This young man can get up there and impact the game in the sky. He is a high riser not only for dunks but for huge blocks on defense. His athleticism helps him to attack with ease off the dribble.
Bryce Griggs 2022 Team Harden Point Guard
Griggs saved his best performance this weekend for the final curtain call in the 16U Finals. This weekend Griggs, as all players do, was up and down. Even when Griggs could not hit shots like he wanted to he found positive ways to impact the game. Griggs caught fire in the biggest games on Sunday. When he is hitting shots, which is often, lookout. Griggs has so much potential to be a star in the 2022 Class nationally.
Dalton Gayman 2020 KC Pacers Wing
Gayman is a valuable asset to have on the Wing. D2’s will love the way he moves on the floor and how much he can impact a game. From rebounds, defense, to scoring Gayman provides a bit of everything. Gayman was instrumental in the KC Pacers run to the Finals.
Connor Robertson 2020 KC Pacers Wing
A sniping shooter from three-point range is exactly what Connor Robertson is from the Wing. When he catches the ball in rhythm the ball with an opening get ready for it a shot is going up.
Devin Vincent 2022 NTX Elite Guard
Vincent was the main scoring catalyst this weekend for NTX Elite. At the Guard spot, he provided them with scoring at all three levels as well as some tough defense.
