Liam Fowler 2022 RSE Elite/Edmond Memorial point guard
Liam Fowler used his basketball iQ and awareness to distribute the ball about his teammates especially well in motion at The Finale. Fowler was great at handling and moving the ball at top gear and shared the ball with his teammates in the fast-break.
Cory McClelland 2022 Lawton Ball So Hard point guard/Lawton Eisenhower point guard (pictured above)
Cory McClelland was one of the deadliest attackers on the permitter. With speed and finesses, McClelland was able to create separation from the opposing defenders and move the ball amongst his teammates on cuts. He played particularly well out of the pick-and-roll and dished the ball off near the basket on a few occasions.
Montez Edwards 2022 Lawton Ball So Hard/Lawton MacArthur point guard (pictured above)
Teaming with Cory McClelland, Edwards helped L.B.s.H’s attack by distributing the ball with accuracy and making great cross-floor passes to his teammates. His vision was pivotal to his team’s success as he moved the ball down-court well and helped to pull back the opposing press.
David Hunt 2022 OK Power/Putnam City North point guard
Running primarily the one-spot, Hunt has some of the most impressive ball control I have seen from a player his age. Hunt often seamlessly masterminds the play in the half-court by flicking the ball out to his teammates with near-perfect timing to set up scoring. As Hunt’s game progresses and his body adapts to his mind, he will be a very dangerous player to guard about the perimeter.
Cahlese Lee 2022 AET Elite/Edmond North point guard
Cahlese Lee was a pleasant new find at The Finale, running the point for AET’s strong 15U squad. Lee is a talented passer, clearly practiced at running the offense and finding his teammates on the cuts from the corners, wings and post. Lee could prove to be one of Edmond North’s most impressive underclassmen in the 2019-2020 season.
