DJ Richards 6’4 SG / Cypress Creek HS / 2021
DJ is a shooter. As the saying goes “A shooter is going to shot” he’s been doing just that. Not just shooting but also getting to the rim and finishing at a high rate despite contact. He has one of the quickest releases that I’ve seen. He is a definite puzzle piece that will fit well in all systems. He is a vocal player with a solid motor. Slender frame with a scoring IQ.
Chas Kelley 6’3 CG / Cypress Creek HS / 2021
????Stock riser alert????. This young prospect has grown about 2 inches over the summer and has been on a tare lately. He is starting to push the point a lot and has good floor awareness and will scorch the net on you if you sag too much. His handle has got a lot stronger and his confidence has been boosted also. He is a lengthy guard that gets it done on both sides of the ball. Has a high motor and plays hard. Trust me coaches this is a prospect that you want to get to know ASAP.
Dominic McBride 6’2 SG / Fulshear HS / 2019 [Houston Raptors – Jackson]
Dominic is an unsigned senior and a known shooter. He didn’t disappoint this weekend, especially on Championship Sunday. Though his team lost after their second game on Sunday. He made a total of 11 trey balls in the two games. He shot 11 for 18 from behind the arc. Any JuCo’s still looking for a 2019 shooter please look no further.
Wade Autenreith 6’8 C / Spring HS / 2021 [Fly Young Nation All-Stars 17U]
Wade showed off his post moves from both the high and low post. Good footwork with a soft touch around the rim. He has grown 3 inches over the summer so far. It will be interesting to see how many more inches he puts on before his senior season. His new size makes the game look more comfortable for him. Has a solid frame on him also. If his skill set continues to progress he will be a problem in this year’s high school season as he enters his junior year.
Chris Marshall 6’3 SG / Fort Bend Marshall HS / 2022
Chris showed why he is considered to be one of the top prospects in the State of Texas in 2022. Everything was so effortlessly for him on the court. He bullied his way to the rim and scored at a super high rate. A strong handle on the ball with the blow by speed made him a threat every game.
Justin Collins 6’2 SG / Humble Atascocita HS / 2021 [Texas Supreme Kings 16U]
Justin has a nice combo dribble package that allows him to create for himself. Utilizes side and back steps well with his long legs. Good triple threat moves to get going. He is also crafty with the ball in his hands. Another prospect to keep an eye on this upcoming high school season.
Nathan Barksdale 6’0 PG / Humble Kingwood HS / 2021 [Texas Supreme Kings 16U]
Nathan is a guard with deep range. Pulls up from the volleyball line on the high school courts like its nothing to it. If you don’t close out on him he will burn the net on you. He is also quick and gets in tight spaces to create for his teammates. He is definitely a prospect to watch this upcoming high school season.
Braedon Edison 6’3 SF / Katy Cinco Ranch HS / 2021 [Basketball University Gold 16U]
Around the Greater Houston Area, he has earned the nickname “Baby Draymond.” He is very physical around the glass. Has exceptional floor awareness and gets his teammates involved in the game. Scores the ball well in the paint, but he can also shoot it from the mid-range and from behind the arc. He’s really a nice glue guy that should have the keys for his high school team this year.
Azari Woods 5’10 PG / Manvel HS / 2021 [Texas Elite Jason 16U]
Azari is a speedy guard that is shifty and has great floor awareness. He averaged 22 points on Sunday. He was getting where he wanted on the floor when he wanted to get there. He tried to get his teammates involved in the game by hitting them with some nice dimes. A small guard who is expected to make noise this upcoming high school season.
Willie Williams 6’4 F / Spring Westfield HS / 2022 [North Houston Bandits 15U]
???? Willie was a beast in the 15U Championship Game. He has a nice handle on the ball. Went coast to coast on several different plays using in-n-outs and crossovers to get to the cup. Finished well around the rim. Muscled everyone who steps in the paint with him. Has decent timing defensively as well. He was a problem for the Adidas sponsored Basketball University. He definitely opened a lot of eyes at this event. He went for 24 points, pulled down 13 rebounds, and had 4 blocked shots.
