Each player has picked up some form of interest but have proven beyond a doubt that the phone should be ringing for them much more often than it is, so let’s take a look.
High Point Central HS 2020 Wing Kuluel Mading: It’s shocking that he doesn’t have 15-20 offers at this point to be totally honest, the skillset and upside of this young man is clear without a doubt. He’s 6’9-6’10 with the ability to put the ball on, knock down outside shots and moves his feet well so he can defend smaller players. HM schools should be tracking, MM and LM schools should be calling and offering, don’t be surprised to see his recruitment totally blow up over the next few months.
VCA & Team Wall 2020 Zavian Mclean: He’s beginning to receive some scholarship offers and interest which is something that we have been waiting for. Certain players seem to enjoy playing every time they step on the court and he is one of those guys without a doubt. Scoring the ball at a very high level as well as being a lock defender and getting the crowd hype with highlight dunks are all things you will see from Zay.
Lumberton HS 2020 Guard Jordan McNeill: One of the best rebounding guards in the state, McNeill picked up a D2 offer not too long ago and should see his recruitment continue to improve. He plays the game with a pretty high motor on both ends of the floor, scores it well and does a pretty solid job of defending without fouling.
Greenfield School 2020 Forward Trey Pittman: What is there not to like about a 6’7 that can knock down shots from three point land as well as being a winner. He really impressed us throughout the season and followed that up with an outstanding showing at the ENC Fab 40 Camp, he plays under control and doesn’t get too high or low.
Piedmont Classical 2020 Guard Trent McIntyre: Bigger guards are all the rage these days and he fits into that mold as he is listed at about 6’3 and can play both guard spots. He has a smooth game with a little bit of flair mixed in as well but he doesn’t gamble or try to make the highlight play too often. Scoring the ball at a solid rate as well being able to break down defenders and find teammates are things that he does well.
Northside-Jax 2020 Forward Quincy Martin Jr: A few schools have reached out over the past months to inquire about him but he still very much under the radar. A legit 6’5 that can play on the wing at times as well as play in the post, Martin is on tap for a big time senior year at Northside and was solid with the 910 Vengeance AAU squad this spring.
