Many highly competitive games including the All-Star games.
Here were some of the standouts from CA:
Jordan Pope PG 6’0 165 2022 De la Salle (Pictured)
-Very talented lead guard with a scorers mentality. He created the most separation then anyone at the camp to get his shot off. He has a super tight handle and uses screens to make plays off of it smartly. He has NBA range on his 3pt shot and has good open court speed. Makes plays for others and is a good passer but is usually setting up his defender to score it. Him and Chris Bunch may be the best soph back-court on the West Coast if both end up there.
Alex Harris SG 6’2 155 2020 Homestead (Pictured)
-A long skilled shooter had one of the most consistent shots from mid-range at the camp. I saw him 3 games and he may have hit 8 from mid-range and two from deep. He is a good passer and can create his own shot and rise up.
Ramon Farias C 6’8 220 2020 College Park
-Strong post player loves facing up. He has good length and has the ability to shoot it to the 3pt line. He has a consistent hook shot deep in the paint and uses his long arms to rebound in his area plus has a nice drop step to utilize. He isn’t the fastest player or get the best lift vertically but is skilled and strong.
Cameron Niles SF 6’6 180 2021 Del Campo
-Uber athletic and long fluid athlete. Gets downhill well and has immense length to rebound and play the passing lanes. Can explode off the floor and rise up quickly to dunk the ball. He will need to progress his shooting moving forward.
Chase Bennett PG 5’10 145 2022 Campolindo
-High IQ pure PG has a great pace to his game. He is a catch 3pt shooter with a high arc and is consistent. He understands the nuances of the pick and roll game and makes plays off of it. He has a good burst to get by his defender and can lay it in or find a teammate.
