Ty Ty Washington 6’3 2021 G Cesar Chavez
Ty Ty Washington is working his opponents without dropping a sweat. Everything looks too easy for him. He is controlling the pace of every game he is in and is picking his scoring spots. Most of the time he is choosing to create for others but can easily get his own points in an instant. Washington should put himself in the early contention for Camp MVP.
Logan Phillips 6’7 2020 G/F Valley Christian
Logan Phillips was slashing to the basket all day long. It looked like no one could stop him from getting to the basket. Phillips is extremely long and athletic, a dangerous combo. Phillips also looked good defensively which was refreshing. Most players don’t really commit to the defensive side of the ball during showcases from what I’ve noticed. Phillips certainly bought into defense.
Jalen Johnson 6’6 2019 F Bella Vista
Jalen Johnson might be the front runner after day one for Camp MVP. The kid scored the ball so well all day long. I doubt he had a single game with less than 20 points. He has been an absolute monster and looks much improved from when I last saw him. Very interested to see how he looks in day 2!
