Fairmont HS 2020 Guard Dwayne Davis: One of our favorite players that we got the chance to see on the day, he understands how to use his 6’3 body to his advantage. Playing the PG,SG and SF spot, you see the versatility he has and the ability he has to recognize when has an advantage in a matchup. We saw him go to the post for plays when he had a smaller player on him, or blow by bigger defenders when they tried to match up with him on the perimeter. Plenty to like about him as a player and a prospect, he should have a very good season next year for the Golden Tornadoes.
Fairmont HS 2020 Forward Joshua Duran: Due to his ability to shoot the ball and his height, you can play him the 3 or use him as a stretch forward. He has some moments throughout where he showed some flashes of his potential and should be a solid role player.
Scotland County 2020 Forward Trevion Graham: We were impressed with him last time we saw him at the Grays Creek Jamboree, and this time was no different at SAU team camp. He protects the paint on the defensive end with blocked and altered shots but also is a spark on the offensive end with his rebounding and finishing inside the paint.
East Meck 2020 Guard Jared King : Plays the game at his own pace, he doesn’t allow himself to sped up and did a nice job of picking his spots throughout. He’s a bigger guard which gives him the advantage of being able to see over smaller guards but also being able to slide over and play off the ball some as well.
Marlboro County 2021 Guard Vonta Oliver: The upside he has is what makes him an intriguing prospect, he can play the guard spot and facilitate or you can move him over to the wing to score the ball some. Still growing into his frame, he has a very long wingspan which could help him be a very advanced defender if he locks in consistently.
Marlboro County 2020 Forward Wesley Brown: Has somewhat of an unorthodox game but he was a productive player game in and game out. Rebounding the ball is something he does well and we feel it will transition to the next level for him due to the fact that he doesn’t try to out jump opponents but instead positions himself properly. Can score the ball inside but also showed some shooting range from mid and three point land, solid overall prospect.
