Due to a change in the recruiting calendar, many of these youngsters will not be seen live again by a D1 college coach until the fall so picking up an offer before the end of this live period was important.
Village Christian & Team Wall Guard Zavian Mclean has been a player that we have been telling colleges about for years now. Mclean is an outstanding player on the court and an even better student/person off the court, so it’s been a thrill to see him finally get the offers he deserves. Campbell, Howard, VMI, Lander, Mount Olive and Lees Mcrae have already offered while he also has picked up some interest from more schools.
Henderson Collegiate & Royal Knights Guard Kalib Matthews picked up his first offer from Lander University. Matthews is another player that is high character off the court, and has shown his talent/ability to consistently perform well over the last few years, don’t be surprised to be some more schools jump on board.
Northwood Temple & Team Felton Wing Reggie Raynor picked up an offer from Catawba, he currently holds an offer from Middle Tennessee as well. Athleticism is where he makes his mark on the game, constantly making plays above the rim on both ends of the court.
CFA & PSB Elite Guard Ambaka Le Gregam has added an offer from Radford University, Le Gregam is a student from France but hasn’t wasted time showing he can play the game in the USA at a high level.
Juice All-Stars & Garner HS Forward Saiquone Harris has verbally committed to play at Hutch CC, which is the second pickup for Hutch from the Juice All-Stars squad this summer. Harris has come a long way in a short period of time and will be a player to keep an eye on, he’s 6’7 with nice upside and could develop into being a full time wing on the next level.
High Point Central & NL Disciples Forward Kuluel Mading added an offer from UNCG, Mading is starting to see more coaches jump on board for his recruitment. He has plenty of upside and it will be interesting to see how things unfold for him this fall after solid showings during the spring and summer.
Louisville and Western Kentucky are the latest schools to offer Moravian Prep Guard Josh Hall, as he now has a list that has grown massively over the last year. He’s shown his ability to score the ball at a very high level against high competition, we know he’s a hard worker and we feel he’s a very coachable young man.
Texas A&M extended offers to Big Shots Elite NC Forward Nick Farrar and Team Trezz Wing Keishon Porter over the weekend. Both have had nice summers but impact the game in totally different ways, Farrar is more of a bully in the paint and knock down outside shooter while Porter is a higher flyer with a high motor.
Piedmont Classical & NL Disciples Guard Trent McIntyre picked up his first offer from UVA-Wise this weekend. We were very impressed with the way he played the game and what he brings to a team from the guard spot at 6’4.
