Luke Brown Takes Advantage Of NCAA Camps
One of the biggest beneficiaries of the NCAA Camps during the first session seemed to be that of Blackford (IN) guard Luke Brown. The potent scorer racked up a few offers from Toledo, Miami (OH), Indiana State, and Akron.
In a camp setting, Luke can look really, really good as he shoots it so well and can really put up points. That playmaking ability, must have shown through as he now sits with 5 DI offers from those three and Iona and Ball State. With this kind of momentum, he should be able to really keep the spotlight on him heading into the Fall.
Khristian Lander Continuing His Ascent
There might not be a hotter name in the 2021 class in the Midwest than Khristian Lander. The 6’2 PG has his pick of schools at the moment as more national powers take hold and offer.
The latest, Tennessee, Michigan, Ole Miss, Texas Tech, and Florida. Those schools join more of the local flavor in IUPUI, Illinois, Purdue, Indiana, Iowa, Ohio State, Kansas, Kansas State, and Louisville offers. That puts his offer list at over a dozen.
Lander played the summer up with Indiana Elite 2020 and was stellar. Big guard that knows how to make plays and score it in bunches. He is finishing up his summer, however, at USA Basketball before heading back to Evansville Reitz (IN).
Blake Wesley’s Stock Moving Fast
Finishing stronger than anyone might have thought at the beginning summer might be South Bend Riley (IN) guard Blake Wesley. The 2021 talent just picked up offers from Wichita State, DePaul, and now Notre Dame.
He already had offers from Toledo, Butler, Miami (OH), and Ball State but the hometown ACC program should elevate things quite a bit. Notre Dame doesn’t typically recruit in-state too much but when they do they believe they are big time talents.
Now, he will be the guy for Riley as they look to reboot their program a bit with a new roster and head coach this year.
