The lanky 6-foot-6, 160-pound wing from Silverton is arguably one of the top outside shooters in the state and his catch-and-shoot game from beyond the three-point line is particularly lethal. This spring and summer playing with Jordan Team Fly White has been special for Dunn and his hope is that it not only improves his game for his senior year but gets him some college interest as well.
“This is the first really good AAU team that I’ve played for and it’s gone well,” Dunn said. “I feel like I’ve gotten more physical going up against bigger guys. I’m just working on getting stronger.”
As noted, Dunn can really shoot it from long range. While his game is largely catch-and-shoot on the wing or baseline for now, Dunn can create off the dribble a little bit and is willing to battle underneath on the boards when needed. There’s no doubt he shoots it well at a high level and college programs are starting to notice.
Dunn notes that he’s heard from a number of programs in the Portland Metro area, particularly Clark College. The Penguins have had him on campus for open gym and former teammate Jonah Downey will be a freshman there next season. Dunn notes that he is keeping things open with his recruitment, but the fact that a school like Clark that’s close to home is right up his alley.
“I think I’d like to stay local pretty much,” Dunn said. “Like in the Northwest.”
Dunn currently ranks as the #72 player in the PrepHoops Oregon Class of 2020 rankings.
