Together they have developed a solid plan of using their connections and resources to turn those players into prospects. Few grassroots programs in Nevada have access to the type of facilities they have. Working out of the home of current Washington Wizards Troy Brown’s old high school, Centennial, LMBA’s players have full weight room and track use. Here is a look at some of their standouts.
Robert Sherman Centennial 2020 – Sherman is a shooter with a lighting quick release. He doesn’t need a ton of time or space to get his shot off. More than just a 1 dimensional player, he has a good basketball IQ and knows how to use pump and pass fakes to keep defenders off balance.
Leland Wallace Centennial 2019 – Wallace is an absolute man-child that played with the team briefly as an unsigned Senior. A powerfully built athlete, with a quick first step, Wallace is a threat to catch a body at any time. Like many players at this level, the 6’5 post spent most of his time down low in High School, however he has prototypical size and athleticism to transition into a collegiate wing. If he can develop any semblance of a perimeter game he has a chance at being a D1 prospect. He will be attending Western Arizona J.C in the fall.
Kendall Burrell Bonanza 2020 – Burrell is a bucket. The 5’10 jitterbug is lighting quick and can get anywhere he wants. He’s effective at creating his own shot, or destroying his defender with deadly accurate 3 point shooting. One of the top scorers in the state of last year, KB essentially did it all for his high school squad. If he puts together a July anything similar to what he did during his high school season, he has the chance to earn a scholarship.
Xakime Milton Centennial 2021 – Milton is an explosive, super quick, defense first Point. He has the frame, and athletic ability to cut off the head of the opponent’s top offensive player. His pg game needs some refining however, he has been known to use his handle to break an ankle or two.
Josh Wadell Centennial 2021 – Wadell was specifically identified by coach Meservey as a player to watch this summer. Listed at 6’5 Wadell he is a stretch big who posses a smooth shot. Still learning the game, however he is expected to make an impact for the team this Summer.
