Here is a brief rundown of five local class of 2020 guards who’ve been playing well recently and could boost their stock this month.
NOAH CHARLES | 6’0 PG | GLENELG COUNTRY/MID ATLANTIC SELECT
Charles brings the best of both worlds as far as academics and on-court performance. He is a high level defender who can run a team efficiently and with good pace.
BRIGGS MCCLAIN | 6’2 G | ST. MARIA GORETTI/MARYLAND MOVEMENT
McClain is a blue-collar lefty with the ability to shoot from long range and break down the defense off the dribble with either hand. He thoroughly impressed at DMV Live II and is trending up at the moment.
AARON RUSSELL | 6’2 G | BISHOP MCNAMARA/PURE GAME ELITE
Russell is a skilled southpaw who is very versatile on both ends of the court. Offensively, he can handle well enough to be on the ball and can score well enough from all three levels to play on the wing. Defensively, he’s vigilant and not afraid to mix it up in the paint with bigs, meet people at the rim, or rebound in traffic.
KENDALL WALKER | 5’11 PG | BOYS’ LATIN/MARYLAND 3D
Walker is a pure point guard who brings toughness and solid leadership intangibles to any team. He’s another high academic prospect who would thrive instantly at a small college.
ALEX WILLIAMS | 6’2 SG | MARET/6TH MAN DC
Williams is a talented shotmaker and a sneaky good athlete who can defend on the wing. In terms of high volume knock-down spot up shooters from three, he is among the best you will find.
