These players are some 17U standouts from Sunday. Tons of players showed up and showed out. But, here’s my few that really popped out to me!
Prospects:
• Daniel Pontnack (6’8” / PF 2019 / All In Gold): Pontnack has a big frame that can rebound it well. Also, moves well up and down the court, needs to improve laterally. Long arms are a plus on the defensive side where he can deter and make it tough for scorers. Can score off the catch inside a bit as well.
• Kyndall Davis Kyndall Davis 6'5" | SF Bogan | 2020 State IL (6’6” / F 2020 / All In Gold): Davis was another one of the more impressive players I seen this weekend. A large frame that can stretch the floor. Gets up and down the floor well. Long arms help the shot blocking ability big time. Plays with a good motor for the game, and takes pride on defense.
• Darius Hannah (6’9” / PF 2020 / All In Gold): Hannah was a force this past weekend, always making plays. Has the ability to play above the rim. A solid floor runner, that can move well and gets open. Knows exactly what he wants to do with the ball on the inside catch. A two-way force.
• Michael Ashley II (6’2” / G 2021 / Edmond Ballers): A versatile guard that plays bigger than the listed 6-foot-2. Rebounds well from his position. Can defend the wing and also works well off the dribble. Can go and get his own bucket, or attack off the ball.
• Kenneth Daughty III (6’2” / G 2020 / Edmond Ballers): Daughty is a terrific ball handler that takes care of it in traffic. Maneuvers well around the bigs inside, where he can also finish through contact. Must note that he was quick through the lane. Gets up and down the floor in a blur at times, and plays hard
