Emoni Bates (Bates Fundamental 15U)
Bates proved at Nike Elite 100 he was the best prospect in all of high school basketball. He backed that up on the prime time stage at Peach Jam. The 6’8” small forward is an elite scorer with Kevin Durant type upside. Such a smooth perimeter game shooting it from three, putting it on the deck, and getting out in transition.
Dior Johnson (SFG 15U)
This was my first extensive look at the talented 2022 shooting guard. Johnson is super athletic using that to win off the dribble and explode to the rim for finish. Crisp pull up jump shooter that has deep range on his shot. Quality pull up jump shooter from both mid-range and three.
Scottie Barnes (Nightrydas 17U)
Barnes is one of the most versatile players in the class. He stuffs the stat sheet contributing across the board in points, assists, rebounds, and steals. He uses his length and large hands to maneuver the ball around defenders at the cup. Such a skilled player at his size and can impact the game in so many ways even when he isn’t scoring.
Jalen Green (Team WhyNot 17U)
Green led his team to the championship game. When he is in attack mode Green is one of the most unstoppable forces in high school basketball. In all the Team WhyNot games we saw he got off to slow stars in the first half, but each game he came back with monster showing putting his team on his back scoring from all three levels.
Amari Bailey (Mac Irvin Fire 16U)
Bailey is a Chicago native that plays his high school basketball out in California. The lefty is a smooth scorer that gets to the basket with long strides. He can score in bunches. Was absolutely dominant in one of the games we saw going for nearly 30 points.
Josh Christopher (Vegas Elite 17U)
Christopher is a high level scoring two guard. He isn’t a freak athlete, but just knows how to put the ball in the hoop. Three level scorer hitting threes, pull up jumpers, and crafty finishes around the hoop. Quality passer for an off guard.
Brandon Boston (AOT 17U)
Boston is a smooth small forward that ranks as one of the top players at his position nationally. Long and rangy frame with projectability. Feathery jump shot with deep range on his jump shot. Finishes well in transition.
Jonathan Kuminga (NY Rens 17U)
Kuminga established himself as the top 2021 in the country with a strong showing at Elite 100 and followed that up with a monster performance at Peach Jam. Quite possibly the most dominant player all week Kuminga is a powerful and athletic three man that finishes with force at the rim, has an improving outside shot, and is a multi-positional defender.
Cameron Thomas (Boo Williams 17U)
Thomas is a crafty scoring two guard that wowed college coaches at Peach Jam. The kid can really scoring in bunches. Was effective getting his shot off from all over the floor. Go to scorer at the next level.
