Kennedy Chandler (MoKan 17U)
Chandler was the most dominant point guard we saw all week at Peach Jam. Not only did he lead his team to the championship, but the 2021 point guard was spectacular all week in doing so. High level passer that has a knack for making those around him better. Elite lob thrower that racked up the assists in that fashion. As a scorer he used his jets to get to the rim where he has surprising hops for his height.
Devin Askew (Team WhyNot 17U)
Big fan of this 2021 point guard. Super smart lead guard that knows how to get others involved with his vision. Works excellent in pick and roll situations as a decision maker. Elite shooter that pulls up off the bounce. Can hit from mid-range and three. Pesky defender that gets steals regularly.
Nimari Burnett (Team WhyNot 17U)
Burnett is a combo guard who is more of a scorer, but is a much improved distributor. As a scorer Burnett is silky smooth being able to score at multiple levels as it looks easy for him to get to the rack. Range on shot out to three. What I really was impressed with was the improved passing he displayed.
Nijel Pack (Indy Heat 17U)
Pack is a Kansas State commit that has seen his stock soar after a strong Peach Jam. He was a major reason Indy Heat made it through pool play and to the quarterfinals. Pack knocked down an array of threes in the game we saw. Scoring point guard that should be an impact player for the Wildcats.
DJ Steward (Meanstreets 17U)
Steward helped his stock as much as anyone despite his team only going 1-4 in the event. The Whitney Young point guard is an ultra-smooth scorer that got to the rim effortlessly along with hitting a solid amount of his outside shots. High level shot maker from the point guard position.
Jaden Hardy (Vegas Elite 17U)
Hardy is a volume scoring point guard. He takes a lot of shots, but also puts up a lot of points. The Nevada guard has deep range on his three point shot where he drills them coming off ball screens.
Davonte Davis (Woodz Elite 17U)
The long and angular lefty combo guard got in the lane absolutely at will. Quick first step with the ability to slither through the defense. Took quality angles to the rim each time and finished with layup after layup. Needs to improve perimeter shot. Oklahoma State commit.
RJ Davis (NY Rens 17U)
Davis was among the leading scorers at Peach Jam all week averaging over 20 points per game. He is a volume scoring point guard that takes some unforced shots, but can also score in bunches. Did that in both games we saw the Rens play.
Jalen Terry (The Family 17U)
Another committed point guard here as the Michigan State commit is an athletic lead guard that is creative with the ball in his hands. Quick and has plus handles. Takes some wild shots at times, but can get in the paint and to the line.
Adam Miller (Mac Irvin Fire 17U)
It wasn’t the most efficient week for the Illinois star, but he did manage to post a few big scoring outputs. The lefty forced deep threes which didn’t fall consistently. When he put his head down and got to the rack he was fantastic with his burst off the dribble.
Cade Cunningham (Texas Titans 17U)
Cunningham is a big point guard that plays with power, skill, and athleticism. The rising senior showed on a national stage why he is considered among the elite prospects in his class. Powerful guard that can get downhill scoring in the lane. Solid jump shooter. Outstanding court vision and awareness reading the defense. Ready to make an impact at the college level on day 1!
