Stanley Madu 6’6 PF 2021 King Drew (Team Zona 16U)
Madu loved turning to his right shoulder and finishing with his left hand. He showed an old school post game that relied on hook shots and jump hooks. Further, on a couple of occasions, he did demonstrate a nice drop step. Madu also played with good patience on the block.
Steinar Christianson 6’5 PF 2021 Ironwood (Team Zona 16U)
Christianson is far from a true post but did show that he can play there. He had a couple of nice drop step finishes. With that said, his best asset was his passing abilities from the block. He looked composed and made good reads. He it opposite wings and corners as well as cutters. Further, he played with a high motor and led the team in rebounds. Defensively, he guarded 1-5 at a high level. He was one of the top defenders for Team Zona throughout the weekend.
Fidelis Okereke 6’6 C 2020 King Drew (Team Zona 17U)
Okereke had all of the college coaches talking due to his motor and strength. He is recruitable at this point at multiple levels due to his skill set, physique, and toughness. However, if he grows a couple more inches, he could see a huge spike in his recruitment. He does not back down to his opponent and plays hard throughout the entirety of the game. Also, he showed that he is capable of catching on an open pivot and attacking defenders who are not as quick.
Adam Hamilton 6’8 PF/C 2019 Buckeye (Team Zona 17U – Committed to GCC)
Hamilton is at his best as a power forward. He is a capable shooter from deep who can also post up on the block. He is a good athlete who is developing more and more in his understanding of the game. Defensively, he is able to guard 4s and 5s at a good level. He has good lateral quickness and can bang with big bodies on the block.
Dende Ceder 6’9 C 2021 AZ Compass (Firestorm 17U)
Despite having a skinny physique, Cedar did not back down from anyone. He competed for space on the block on offense and defense. He has a grit to him that is uncommon. Further, he crashed the glass extremely hard on the defensive end and did a good job of elevating the basketball to his guards so that they could make plays. He rim ran well also.
