Tyrik Ward-Hoyte – Oconee Elite – High Point Academy (Spartanburg) / Will attend Bull City Prep (NC) this fall as a postgrad
Ward-Hoyte helped the high Point Academy Grizzlies win a Class 1A State Championship this past season. Ward-Hoyte a freakish athlete is very versatile on the floor. Ward-Hoyte originally from Virginia looks to be headed to Bull City Prep in Durham, NC next season. Prep Hoops saw Ward-Hoyte several times this season with the Grizzlies.
Ward=Hoyte really excels in the up-tempo transition game. Ward-Hoyte 6’4 lefty converted a few three pointers today on the perimeter.
Timothy SteeleTimothy Steele (2020) – Ascend Ballers – Conway HS
Steele was moonlighting and playing with his local team the Ascend Ballers (most part all Conway kids). Steele runs with Upward Stars Pee Dee on the Grassroots Circuit. Steele likes to play inside-out on the floor and has the ability to knockdown the 3 pointer. Steele has great hands and has the ability to finish around the cup.
DaQuinton GradyDaQuinton Grady (2019) – Ascend Ballers – Conway HS / Will Attend Methodist University (NC) (Football)
Grady was the Quarterback of the Tigers football program this past season. Grady will attend Methodist University (NC) (NCAA D3) in the fall. Grady was on fire when we saw him vs the Kinston Ballers. Grady a tough nosed guard finished with 21 points. Grady plays the game on contact and won’t back down from anyone. Grady used the head-fake on several occasions today along with taking high percentage shots.
Alex CoxAlex Cox (2019) – Oconee Elite – Walhalla HS
Cox 6’5 was a pleasant surprise today in the paint Cox has good footwork around the basket and was able to step-out and connect on the 15-17 footer. Cox informed Prep Hoops who also played football for the Razorbacks said that he might just attend Tri-County Tech in the Northeast Corner of the Palmetto State. Really believe this kid could play for someone at some level. Prep Hoops just saw Cox for the first time today
