2022 6’2 Judah Mintz | Team Takeover
The rising sophomore at Gonzaga had it rolling all game tonight finishing with 18 points on 6-10 shooting from the field. Mintz was playing with a lot of energy all game long which ultimately led to him stealing the ball twice at mid court and finishing two layups in transition. He also hit some tough mid range jumpers and demonstrated he can pass the ball well too. Overall, Mintz had one of the most impressive all around games on Wednesday and certainly had the gym buzzin his name.
2022 6’3 Keyonte George | Drive Nation
As Judah might have had the most impressive performance on the day, the top prospect that I might have seen was Keyonte Green of Drive Nation. Right now Prep Hoops Texas has him ranked as the third top prospect in the 2022 state rankings. Green is a high level athlete that can rebound well for the guard position, handle the ball well, get by defenders with ease and finish high above the rim. He was dished out two nice alley oop passes that ended up being big time finishes from his teammates. In an opening day win, he finished with 24 points.
2022 6’9 DeAnte Green | Team CP3
Team CP3 is never short of talent and their 15U team has a very good prospect that is a rising sophomore in Green. Green had 21 points and 9 rebounds. Green is tall with good versatility standing at 6’9. He hit an impressive corner three with a defender in his face, demonstrated he can put the ball on the floor and finish around the rim efficiently. Green is a high energy guy that talks loud on both ends of the floor.
2022 6’3 Corey Floyd Jr. | Team Final
Floyd is a 6’3 2022 guard that is already pretty strong and not afraid to try and score the basketball whenever he wants to. He plays every possession hard and just had a good amount of toughness while on the court. He had 16 points today and most recently picked up his first offer from Rutgers. It would not surprise me at all to see more local schools pull the trigger and offer the Roselle Catholic product.
2022 6’1 Chance Westray | Team Melo
Westray is a 2022 guard out of Delaware that score the basketball well today. He had two impressive running floater’s that he banked off the window while drawing a block. He also had a nice layup finish while driving on a taller defender. He is a smaller guard that isn’t afraid to get physical around the rim, as he had a nice tip out one possession to keep the ball with his team. In a tough loss against Team Final he tallied 14 points and 7 rebounds.
