NORTH AUGUSTA, SC -- Top five ranked junior forward K.J. Adams helped lead a loaded Team Griffin 16U squad to an E16 Title at the 2019 Nike Peach Jam. I was in on all of the action and have a few takeaways from the Texas players who competed: 

 

K.J. ADAMS WAS NOT HAPPY ABOUT HIS RANKING

 

After being ranked as a top-three prospect in the state and top-thirty nationally, K.J. Adams slipped in both rankings due to somewhat a quiet spring. In the latest update, Adams moved down to become the number five player in the state and a top-fifty prospect nationally. Without voicing his thoughts, Adams knew he had to let his actions do the talking on the big stage and so he did.

The four-star hybrid forward had the best E16 Peach Jam out of any prospect that competed in North Augusta. He averaged around 24 points per game and seven rebounds per game on efficient percentages. Adams overpowered defenders and scored with good sheer force at the rim. His playmaking from the high post was an underrated
