LB Reeves 2022 Oklahoma Power/Putnam City North combo guard
An incoming sophomore who has began to establish his namesake this weekend is LB Reeves of Putnam City North (Oklahoma City, Okla.) Reeves had one game in which he ignited the spark that prompted a late-game comeback against Oklahoma Run PWP Red. Reeves hit a pair of 3-pointers, knocked down a free throw and grabbed a trio of steals in the final five minutes of play to secure a win for Oklahoma Power.
Kwaen Harding 2020 Oklahoma Takeover/Star Spencer point-forward
One prospect who is starting to command respect for himself is Kwaen Harding. Saturday, I watched him post-up and hit the shot in the paint, knock down 3-pointers, out-rebound forwards and clamp away guards. Harding has both elite size and an elite skill-set, which he displayed on the second day for Oklahoma Takeover 17U. As Harding enters his senior season at Star Spencer, don’t overlook the small-school prospect.
Levi Houck 2020 Oklahoma Wolfpack/Tuttle point guard
At 6-foot-4-inches, Houck is above-average for a one-guard, but doesn’t sacrifice any of the skill. The lanky floor general passed the ball exceptionally well when I watched him against Oklahoma Power, distributing the ball among his teammates, taking the easy passes and even throwing one behind-the-back-dime. Houck is also a talented ball-handler who can create his own shot from the dribble, both on the drive and from the 3-point line. He was an efficient scorer Saturday and made the opposing defense fear his abilities.
