Dalton Marsh added a Maryville College offer recently. His Tennessee Tigers AAU team rattled off a fantastic weekend, as is now commonplace. Marsh slimmed down a touch. Touch is his trademark. Touch around the rim. Touch at the free throw line. He now is an incredibly savvy post passer too. Marsh is beginning to schedule official visits, so teams on the fence need to offer in the next 20ish days to keep pace.
Clay Holmes (Upward Stars Premiere South) blistered the nets. The sharpshooter from Brentwood Academy hit 9 three-pointers in a single game, good enough for 34 points. His senior season with Brentwood Academy will be a final attempt at that State Championship. Holmes, along with Darius Garland, Cam Johnson, Gavin Schoenwald, Tyler McNair, etc. won two titles during his first two high school seasons.
Briarcrest Christian earned the title in 2019. Can Holmes get one more? With Randy Brady, Holmes, and Marcus Fitzgerald Jr. it is possible.
Currently, Clay Holmes in the #82 prospect in the Class of 2020.
JaCobi Wood (WHBH 17u) just got silly, amassing a triple double against the Royals. Wood recorded 18 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists in a single game. Wood is verbally committed to Belmont, and intends to sign in November.
Noah Smith (Legacy) put together a consistent weekend. Smith scored double figures repeatedly. He stands 6-foot-6 as a combo forward.
“He’s a skilled big man that can score inside and out,” mentioned Legacy Coach Jason Winningham after returning from the weekend. “Legacy made it to the 17u blue championship game before running out of gas.”
Cameron Gerlach and Upward 17U North placed 2nd in B.O.T.S. Silver Bracket. Gerlach also averaged a double-double.
Caleb Lawrence @CalebJamesLawr1
(Wilson Central HS /Tennessee Grizzlies) helped wrangle the
National Super 64 Exposure Showcase Championship! Small college prospect, lead guard Lawrence delivered 20 points in the semifinals and 18 points in a victorious championship game.
Caleb made 10-17 three-pointers Sunday.
