Jalen Cook 6’0 G Louisiana Elite (LSU Commit)
It was another weekend that Louisiana Elite played, which means that it was another dominating weekend for Jalen Cook. He lead Louisiana Elite in scoring all weekend, and was described at times as “unguardable.” He was able to lead Louisiana Elite to an appearance in the Elite 8 of the Under Armour Circuit, and was able to end his grassroots career on a high note.
Michael Jones 6’6 F Liv-On/Fleur De Lis
Jones was certainly able to open some eyes about the ceiling of his talent over the weekend while playing in the Elite 32 tournament, my eyes included. I knew that he was athletic, but I didn’t realise just how athletic he is. He was able to finish a number of lobs with his head at the rim. He looked really good at the dunker spot, and PG Michael Thomas was able to find him time and time again. Look for Jones to move up the 2020 rankings in our next update.
Byron Joshua 5’9 G New Orleans Elite
Joshua was able to finish off what has been a very productive year playing with New Orleans Elite. He is about as quick of a guard as you will find with the ball in his hands, and defenders weren’t able to stay in front of him all weekend long. He is a blur in transition, and is a capable pull up shooter in the midrange if the defense backs too far off him.
Kalep Crane 6’1 G Louisiana Select Team Milsaps
Crane was able to continue to show the level of impact he is capable of having on both ends of the ball with LSTM at GASO in Dallas. He is a combo guard that is able to put the ball in the whole at a really high level. He is also a high level defender that is capable of being placed on the other team’s best player and shutting them down.

Carlos Stewart 6’1 G Liv-On/Fleur De Lis
Stewart had about as good of a weekend as anyone in the state over the live period. He was a top 5 overall scorer for the 16u Nike Peach Jam, averaging 19.8 PPG against some of the toughest competition in the country. Stewart has had as good of a summer as anyone, and was able to pick up 3 offers after the weekend from TCU, Tulane, and UAB.
De’ziel Perkins 6’0 G Louisiana Elite
Perkins is certainly another kid that was able to raise his profile during the only Live Period in July this year. He was Louisiana Elite 16u’s leading scorer in 2 of their 4 games, and was a top 3 scorer in all of the games. He was also able to do that while being really efficient on the offensive end, scoring well at the rim, off made 3s and at the free throw line. That in combination with his defensive prowess has certainly made Perkins a potential D1 prospect in a couple of years.
