MoKan advances to Peach Jam Finals
*The MoKan Elite 17U team will be playing for the championship of the Nike EYBL Peach Jam today in North Augusta, S.C. MoKan Elite defeated the New York Renaissance 81-70 in the quarterfinals and then the Houston Hoops 86-77 in the semifinals to punch their ticket to today’s championship game against Team WhyNot (CA). Today’s championship game will tip off at 1 p.m. and will be televised nationally on ESPNU.
MoKan’s leading scorers during the Peach Jam have been 7’0″ five-star center N’Faly Dante of Sunrise Chtistian (KS) and 6’1″ 2021 guard Kennedy Chandler of Memphis, TN. Several Missouri kids have been key contributors to MoKan’s success throughout the tournament. Former Rock Bridge standout Dajuan Harris has been excellent at both ends of the court. The 6’2″ Harris had nine points, and 11 assists against the NY Rens, then followed up with 10 points, five rebounds and nine assists against the Houston Hoops. Harris will do a year of prep school at Sunrise Christian. He has already received an offer from Kansas.
2020 guard Coban Porter of Father Tolton has been an unsung hero for MoKan Elite with his solid all-around play and very timely perimeter shooting throughout the Peach Jam. The 6’5″ Porter scored 15 points on five of eight shooting from 3-point range against the Houston Hoops.
Aminu shines at Peach Jam
*Standout 2021 guard Animu Mohammed of Greenwood helped Boo Williams to the Final Four of the Peach Jam. Mohammed scored 13 points in Boo Williams’ 92-89 loss to Team WhyNot in the semifinals. He scored seven points in Boo’s exciting overtime victory over the AOT Running Rebels in the quarterfinals. It was his low scoring output of the weekend, but six of those seven points came on two huge 3-pointers in the last two minutes of the game, which helped rally his team from a late six-point deficit to overtime. The 6’5″ Mohammed was terrific throughout the Peach Jam as he averaged 20 points and nine rebounds in Boo Williams’ five games in pool play.
Team Ramey advances at NY2LA
*Team Ramey CCM 17U have advanced to the Final Four of the NY2LA Next Level Invitational in the Gold Division. Team Ramey is currently 4-1 in the tournament. They have been getting consistent play from 6’1″ 2020 guard Jaylen Boyd of Ladue and 6’7″ Gary Clark of Cardinal Ritter throughout the weekend. Another player who has stepped up this weekend is 6’0″ 2020 point guard Glenn Valentine of Cardinal Ritter. He really came on in two victories on Saturday.
Excellent 15U Teams
Several Missouri-based 15U teams have enjoyed impressive performances throughout the weekend. The Brad Beal Elite 15U advanced to the Final Four of the Peach Jam. BBE defeated the PSA Cardinals in the quarterfinals before falling to Team Final 61-57 in the semifinals. 2022 point guard Robert Martin of CBC was very good in both games for BBE as he had nine points ans nine assists against Team Final and 11 points against the PSA Cardinals. 6’5″ 2022 forward Alpha Chibambe of St. Louis Christian had 13 points and six rebounds against PSA. BBE’s top player of the weekend was 6’7″ 2022 guard Brandon Miller of Nashville, TN.
The Gateway Basketball Club has advanced to the semifinals at the UA Rise in Atlanta. Gateway is rolling along with a 5-1 record for the weekend. Gateway has excellent balance with perimeter scoring from 2022 guards Drenin Dinkins of South Iron and Nate Straughter of Chaminade and 6’7″ 2022 forward Jimmy Lansing of Chaminade.
MoKan Elite 15U have advanced to the Final Four of the Peach Invitational Tournament in Augusta. MoKan Elite defeated Team Durant 58-48 in the quarterfinals. They have a strong frontcourt duo in 6’8″ 2022 Tarris Reed, Jr. of Chaminade and 6’10” 2022 Jevon Porter of Father Tolton.
Team YOBO 15U will play for the championship at the Mullen High Profile in Fort Worth, TX. YOBO defeated the KC Pacers 80-78 in a thrilling semifinal game. They will play Kingdom Hoops for the championship today at 11:45 a.m.
The Knights Basketball Academy 15U are in the Final Four at the Ballin Under 1 Roof Tournament in Louisville, KY. The Knights will play in the semifinals this morning at 8 a.m.
The Carroll GoL1ve 15U Red team has advanced to the Final Four of the NY2LA Next Level Invitational in the Platinum Division.
Victory Ministry Dynamic Duo
Victory Ministry 17U is currently 3-1 at the Midwest Live in Council Bluffs, IA behind its impressive tandem of 6’4″ 2020 Cade Blevins of Logan-Rogersville and 6’1″ 2020 guard Terrell Kabala of Webb City. Both are very skilled athletes with scoring ability and explosiveness. Blevins is averaging 22 points in the four games while Kabala is averaging 18 points a game.
Marcus Denmon Elite 16U Shines
The Marcus Denmon Elite 16U team has been been playing excellent basketball throughout the grassroots season, with a couple of tournament championships to their credit. They are currently in the Final Four at the UA Rise in Atlanta. MDE has an impressive group of guards, which include 2021 standouts Brennan Watkins of Kearney and Quran Taylor of University Academy.

Arsenal Hoops Elite 17U won all three of its pool games at the Adidas Invitational in Indianapolis.
Mid-Mo Elite 17U finished with a 3-0 to win its pool at the Chicago Summer Jam.
Team KC Silver 17U won all three of its pool play games at the Midwest Live in Council Bluffs, IA.
The Silver Bullets 17U are currently 4-0 at the Recruit Looks Elite 32 in Atlanta.
The St. Louis Blazers 16U advanced to the Final Four in the White Division at the Hoop Seen Battle of the South in Atlanta.
