At the Texas Hoop Summit, the 6-foot-2 lead guard probed and penetrated defenses looking for openings to attack where he can find open teammates with his court vision.
The Frisco native ranks No. 36 in the Prep Hoops Texas 150 and now holds offers from Central Michigan, Indiana State (his most recent offer), Oral Roberts, and Sam Houston State due to his play this spring. He has taken unofficial visits to Oral Roberts, Sam Houston State, and plans to visit Central Michigan in August or September.
IN JULIAN’S WORDS
Central Michigan: “Coach Jeff Smith is a great man and he told me he loves my speed with the ball and the type of person I am off the court. I love the way their team pushes the ball. They play multiple point guards on the floor at once and I love that about them.”
Oral Roberts: “Coach Spriman has been recruiting me. He loves how I carry myself and how what I provide translates to winning consistently. The visit I took there was great. It is a pretty nice, top-notch, small environment that they have over there. Everybody knows everybody. I talked to their rising senior point guard Sam Kearns and he told me how I would be a perfect fit into the system.”
Sam Houston State: “They were the first school to offer me and they are running a great program over there. Their players buy into their system and I believe they will have a better season than they did last year. I already have a relationship with some of the players and I love the coaching staff and the atmosphere. They play defense similar to how we play defense at Marcus Smart YGC36 (his summer team).”
BOTTOM LINE
Larry’s decision will be based upon which school provides him with the best academic situation and the chance to play right away. The relationship he develops with the coaches is also important to him. After the live period, he plans on attending a few camps, taking more visits, and making his decision after September.
