Analysis: |
Owusu has an intriguing skill-set. His self-assessment was accurate but only painted a partial picture.
Owusu is an impressive scorer and leaves no doubt when he leaves the floor that he was one of the best on the court. He finds creative ways to score thanks to his speed and hustle-gene.
He consistently gathers rebounds and gets put-backs or collects fumbled passes. He truly just hustles his way into scoring, which is one of my favorite traits of his game offensively.
He also has become a better shooter this summer and inches closer each weekend to being a knock-down type of player.
Defensively, he is a lock-down, adherent type of on-ball player and is also a ball-hawking defender off-ball.
Again, he regularly stumbles into scoring opportunities by gathering steals and going the distance on the fast-break.
