Ryan Campbell 6’2″ Lafayette: A stout shooting guard with a lot of offensive ability who was one of the top guards at the team camp. He has an excellent stroke from 3-point range and he can get it either off the dribble or off the catch. He has very good court vision and he uses it to locate open teammates and make them better.
Adam Sommer 6’3″ Parkway South: The strong combo guard took an unofficial visit to UMKC during the week, then returned to have a very productive couple of days at IAABO. With many inexperienced new teammates to break in, He has taken up an even bigger load as a scorer, facilitator and decision-maker. Even facing double teams and added pressure, he was able to create offense and make jumpers off the dribble while still dropping dimes to open teammates.
Jaylon Ashford 6’2″ Wentzville Holt: The lefty shooting guard displayed the ability to get buckets in bunches when he gets hot. He has good length and a long stride that enables him to get to the basket for layups. He has a nice turnaround jumper in the lane and good 3-point range. I like when he dribbles up and swishes a 3-pointer if the defender doesn’t pick him up in a timely manner.
Braden Nett 6’3″ Troy: A solid and resourceful shooting guard who has the ability to get buckets in a variety of ways. He’s tough to defend because he gives you different looks every time down court. He can post up and score in the paint or score on dribble drives with twisting layups and reverses. He can shoot from the perimeter plus he moves well without the basketball.
