Tarris Reed, Jr. 6’8″ MoKan Elite 15U (Chaminade ’22): The young power forward is one of the state’s top prospects in 2022 and he displayed a nice arsenal of moves in the post and on the perimeter. He is strong and physical inside with good footwork and a nice shooting touch. He also stepped out and hit perimeter jumpers while putting the ball on the floor to make plays.
Nykohlas Bryant 6’1″ KC Premiere Blue Chips 16U (Park Hill ’21): A slashing young wing guard who played with a lot of drive and energy. He was very good at getting down hill and finishing at the rim at a variety of angles. He scored 29 points in the game I watched and he also set up his teammates with some nice dimes.
Xavier Sykes 5’7″ Missouri Elite 17U (Rock Bridge ’21): The quick little guard does a nice job of playing with pace and tempo. He plays fast but he also can change speeds and directions with his creative ball handling skills. He has a scorer’s mentality with his ability to knock down perimeter jumpers and maneuver inside to get buckets in the land of the trees.
Anthony Hall 6’4 KC Premiere Blue Chips 16U (Park Hill ‘21): A long and active wing player who had an impressive stroke from 3-point range. He works hard to get himself open and he got out and ran hard to hit transition 3-pointers.
Joel Stepps 5’11” KC Premiere Blue Chips 15U (Liberty ’22): It was my first look at this young KC guard and he was impressive in the first game that I watched. He was constantly moving and he played well with the ball and without the ball. He got buckets on some nice drives and pull up jumpers as well as some good hard cuts.
