Here, Prep Hoops Kansas takes a look at several players who raised their profile with strong performances on Thursday.
34-Ike Izegon, 6’4, Team Yobo 15U
A physical player with strength and a lot of momentum when he has the ball in his hands. He runs hard and has great post moves and confidence on the floor. He dominates the paint and is almost too much to handle for some players. A dynamic big with a strong upside.
1-Trey Maola, 6’3, Paola, Team Yobo 15U
A tall post player with great hands and a good feel for inside-out play. He’s a mobile big and takes advantage of open lanes and his ability to pick up his dribble and finish. Maola has a nice upside and shows potential as a power forward. He can stretch the floor if he needs to and mixes things up on both ends.
2 — Xavier Hall, 5’10, G, Bishop Miege, Marcus Denmon Elite 15U
Another impressive guard for Marcus Denmon Elite who can handle the ball and get to the basket. He has a nice bounce to his game and has a solid first step. He uses his speed to great success and scores layups because of it. A smart on-ball defender as well.
34-Jarin Sanders, 5’9, G, Premiere Blue Chips 15U
A smart guard who can improvise plays and come out ahead. He is great at leading teammates with his passes and can find a way around his opponents and get to the basket and score. He has good speed and a hesitation to his step. He works just as hard on defense as he does on offense and reaps the benefit.
Trent Stimec, G/F, Marcus Denmon Elite 15U
An athletic player who can run the floor and get out ahead of his opponents. He looks to make extra passes but shows the ability to score for himself. Stimec shows good bounce and a creative ability to get to the basket. He can also play low and handle himself against seasoned post players.
