In this run down, I go through some Sunday standouts, that played well!
• David Aryee (6’4” / WF 2022 / Old School Wings): Ayree worked hard for his team, in route of their big win. Grabbed extra possessions, scored off put-backs and kicked it out often. Tough defender that didn’t give up much space to the would be scorer. Hustles up and down the court, as well.
• Wylyn Harris (6’6” / WF 2022 / Old School Wings): Not very athletic, but hard work makes up for it. Gets to loose balls, makes good decisions with the ball in his hand. Also, fights on the boards, not often out rebounded. Scoring comes on open back cuts or the back down.
• Will Major (6’3” / WG 2022 / Team Buddy Buckets Rising Elite West): Major stands out with his hustle play, and overall smart choices on the court. Carries himself well, communicating often out there. Major has a high release on his jumper that often drops. Can drop the no look pass right where it needs to be through the lane, too. Lengthy defender that can lock it down.
• Austin Osby (5’11” / G 2022 / Oklahoma Eagles Elite): Osby is a bit under sized, and not very athletic but he gets it done. Quick first step does get him in the lane where he finishes with the finger roll. Solid ball handler, knows what to do at all times. Doesn’t let the half court become stagnant often.
• Collin Ruffin (6’0” / G 2022 / Missouri Flight Blue): Ruffin is a quick guard that is all go, all the time. Distributes well in the halfcourt. Gets through the lane, always drawing contact. Also, a tough on ball defender with quick instincts. Jumping the passing lane or poking a ball loose are common occurrences.
• Trey Pulford (6’1” / G 2022 / Missouri Flight Blue): Pulford was able to give his team good minutes whenever he was out there. Primarily works off ball, obeying the three point line. Stays ready for the kick out, or ball swing. Trey is a knockdown shooter with a smooth shot.
