24 — Amos Alford, 6’5, F, 2020, Wichita East, Grind Elite
Alford is a an athletic wing player with good size and hops and the ability to step out and shoot from distance, displaying a quick shooting release and a repeatable shooting form. He has the ability to handle the ball, get to the basket and is willing to play in the paint, grabbing key rebounds and playing tough defense. He also showed he is a no-nonsense competitor on Friday as he got after things in a hotly contested game against the KC Pacers White.
16 — Richard Dockery, 6’2, G, 2020, Bonner Springs, Team KC
Dockery has been a big part of our coverage this offseason as he has taken his game to new heights. Last year, he was often forced to help a small Bonner Springs squad guard bigger post players, but this offseason, he has shown he can lock up point guards, shooting guards and wing players. He plays with intensity and passion and brings a big work ethic to the floor.
22 — Kenyon Myers, 6’6, F, 2020, Leavenworth, Team KC
An underrated interior player, Kenyon has a lot of bounce in his step and plays much bigger than his listed 6’6 height would suggest. He is quick off the floor at both ends of the court and is a terrific shot blocker and finisher around the basket. He threw down several slams throughout the weekend finishing breaks or dump off passes. Myers also shows a smooth left handed jumper that he flashes from the mid-range on occasion and makes his free throws.
13 — Knowledge McPherson, 5’9, G, 2020, Southeast, NLHA Silmon
McPherson is an athletic guard with good length and athleticism, able to stay with guards and get in their shorts for 94 feet. He has an emerging offensive game and has the ability to handle the ball and create his own offense off the bounce.
3 — King Sutton, 6’5, G/F, 2020, Topeka, Kansas Hoggs 17U
A big, versatile guard with a great upside. He showed a great presence on the floor and jumped passing lanes, ran the lanes well on offense and scored in a variety of ways inside and out. Sutton was a dynamic piece for Kansas Hoggs’ squad as he provides the ability to play around the rim and adds some size and feel to the floor.
