TERRENCE BUTLER | 6’7 F | TEAM DURANT/BISHOP MCNAMARA ‘21
Butler didn’t have any flashy plays, but quietly produced on both ends of the floor. His effort defensively was impressive especially in help side situations. Butler also constantly crashed the boards in search of second chance opportunities.
KEVIN KALU | 6’7 C | TEAM MELO/CITY ‘22
Kalu is still very raw but has an impressive physical profile with long arms and gigantic hands. He showed signs of dominance at times during Team Melo’s win, and it’s easy to see his potential moving forward.
BEZ MBENG | 6’3 G | DC PREMIER/GOOD COUNSEL ‘21
Mbeng showed that he can handle the ball and make high level reads this evening. He completed a couple of really impressive passes with his off hand after breaking down the defense.
DAVID SOLOMON | 6’6 F | TEAM DURANT/LAKE BRADDOCK ‘22
Talk about winning plays, Solomon made several on both ends of the. Whether its stepping up and taking a charge, boxing out, rebounding, or defending whoever he’s matched up with, he’s up to the task and leaves it all out there.
THOMAS WHITLEY | 6’5 F | DISTRICT BASKETBALL CLUB/ELEANOR ROOSEVELT ‘21
One thing that stood out about Whitley’s performance today was his passing ability. He sees the floor very well and gets the ball out quickly in transition, but also has the eye for a pocket pass in half-court sets.
ETHAN WILSON | 6’0 G | HIGHER LEVEL/OSBOURN PARK ‘20
Wilson is a reliable guard who can play on and off the ball. Right now, his biggest selling point is how well he scores it, but he’s becoming more comfortable setting the table and defending.
