MVP: 6’4 Wing, Eric Peeler, FBCG Disciples
Eric Peeler was one of the consistent scorers on the floor for the FBCG Disciples, although point guard Car’Ron Brown was responsible for the game-winner at the buzzer. He put up 14.8 points per game while showing off his ability to block shots and rebound on both ends. Peeler showed off his ability to play above the rim this past weekend and is certainly one to keep an eye on at DeMatha High School (MD.)
6’1 Guard, Nelson St. Louis, East Coast United
Nelson St. Louis is a guard out of Port St. Lucie, Florida that can get to the rim with relative ease. He finished second in the division in total points (68) and fourth in 3-pointers made (7). St. Louis showed off his ability to score on all three levels all weekend long as the leader on offense for East Coast United.
6’2 Guard, Mac Washington, Team Wall SE 2021/22
Mac Washington was one of the fearless attackers that led the way for Team Wall SE as some of them played up on the 16U division. Washington played above the rim all weekend and did well to create off the dribble and from behind the arc. He finished with 18.3 points per contest and made six 3-pointers on the weekend.
6’3 Wing, Travis Cooper, Carolina Dream Team
Travis Cooper was a 6-foot-3 wing that showed off his ability to fill it up for the Carolina Dream Team. He led the 16U division with 25.5 points per game. Cooper opened the weekend with 22 points in their opening game and never looked back. He posted 29 against Team Wall SE and showed off his ability to score from anywhere on the floor all weekend at the BigShots Myrtle Beach Finale.
6’9 Forward, Steve Doar, FBCG Disciples
Steve Doar was one of the better big men on the weekend at BigShots Myrtle Beach Finale. He ran the floor, crashed the board and attacked the rim when the ball was in his hands. His shot-blocking ability came along, especially in the championship game when he made a game-saving block that initiated their game-winning lay-in. He’s a prospect to keep an eye on at Capital Christian Academy (MD).
6’3 Forward/Wing, James Jones, BigShots Elite South Carolina
James Jones was another forward that had quite the weekend playing above the rim. He got to the rim and free throw line quite a bit, making 12 free throws across the weekend. Joens finished in the division fourth in total points (62) and averaged 15.5 points per game as a relentless rebounder and rim-runner. He’s one to keep an eye on at Socastee High School.
