The Confidence Cougars had plenty of 2019 kids still on the roster for this weekend Big Shots Myrtle Beach Finale.
Marcus MooreMarcus Moore 6’8 has signed with Kansas City Kansas Community College (D2 Junior College) . Moore attended Socastee HS
Jevon GriffinJevon Griffin has signed with Mount Aloysius College (NCAA D3) in Creston, PA. Griffin attended Socastee HS after playing his first 3 years of high school at North Myrtle Beach HS.
DaQuinton GrayDaQuinton Grady will play football at Methodist College in Fayetteville, NC. Grady played quarterback last season for the Conway HS Tigers.
Tyron Stockdale showed some glimpses this week of past play. Stockdale finished his career at North Myrtle Beach HS this past year. Stockdale a guard didn’t play football this past season. Stockdale recorded 32 receptions and 720 yards and 9 touchdowns as a junior. The Chiefs finished (12-1) during Stockdale’s junior year.
Quatrez Scott 6’2 attended Conway HS but didn’t play on the basketball team. Scott looks to need a junior college. Scott is a very athletic guard who really likes to stalk the baseline. Scott really excels in the transition game and in the open court.
Bryce RavenellBryce Ravenell (2019) – Summerville HS – Palmetto Elite
Ravenell informed Prep Hoops that he will attend Benedict College (SC) (NCAA D2) this coming fall. Ravenell 6’5 will play football and run track. Ravenell is a absolute pogo stick on the hardwood. Ravenell was the Region Player of the Year in Track. Ravenell a 3 sport athlete excelled also in the Long Jump, High Jump and Triple Jump for the Green Wave. Ravenell wasn’t allowed to play two sports back to back in college so that’s how he came about football and track.
Jordan Jones (2020) Trinity Byrnes – Carolina Dream Team (pictured on the front)
Jones has really developed into a solid point guard over the years in the Pee Dee area. Jones started off his career at South Florence HS as freshman before moving over to Trinity Byrnes. Jones a lefthanded guard will turn his attention to the gridiron this fall and play quarterback for the Titans. Jones played this past Grassroots Circuit with TMP 17.
Jones a vocal leader on the floor plays the game with some confidence. Jones can knockdown the 3 ball on the perimeter or distribute the ball to his teammates. Jones had some big games this past weekend for the Carolina Dream Team in scoring production. Jones averaged 16.6 ppg last season for the Titans.
Nick FordNick Ford (2020) – Trinity Byrnes – Carolina Dream Team
Ford and Jones form a great duo for the Titans. Ford has a knack to score the ball and is best from the mid-range game. Ford has started to fill out body wise like Jones on the hardwood. Ford played his first two seasons at South Florence HS before coming over last season to the Titans. Ford averaged 14.8 ppg last season for the Titans.
Sintell QuattlebaumSintell Quattlebaum (2020) – Fairfield Central HS (Winnsboro) – South Carolina Kings
Quattlebaum 6’4 is a very slender-sleek athlete. Quattlebaum has the ability to play multiple positions on the floor with his length. Quattlebaum was a good passer with the ball in his hands and was able to finish at the basket with his left-hand.
Raevon AllenRaevon Allen (2020) – Gray Collegiate – South Carolina Kings
Allen transferred over to Gray Collegiate this off season from Airport HS. Allen connected on some mid-range jumpers today for the South Carolina Kings. Allen played the game at a good pace and found the open man in transition. Allen a guard will be one of the senior leaders for the War Eagles this season.
