Blessin Kimble 6’6″ SI Select: The talented power forward from Charleston continued his strong play with his high motor and activity throughout the weekend. He is a relentless rebounder at both ends and he was very good at getting out of his area. His offensive strengths are still around the basket, but he is starting to display some perimeter skills, especially with the drive to the basket where he can use his strength and power. He can also knock down a jumper as well when needed.
Riley Naeger 6’7″ STL Shooting Stars: The versatile post player from St. Pius was very impressive with his ability to make plays in the paint or on the perimeter. His motor was good as he hustled for offensive rebounds and loose balls. He is skilled enough to put the ball on the floor, plus he is an excellent passer to go along with his shot-making ability. This would be an excellent get for a strong small-college program.
Frazier Ott 6’8″ Arsenal Hoops Elite: A solid post player from Chaminade who has a very nice set of offensive tools around the basket. He has a beautiful jump hook and he can score it going over both shoulders and he can also dribble from the wing into his jump hook or a nice turnaround in the lane. His fundamentals are very good and his shooting touch is excellent.
Mike Skoff 6’4″ Arsenal Hoops Elite: An all-purpose forward from DeSmet who really shot the ball well during the weekend. He especially owned the Corner 3; where I saw hit three of them on three consecutive possessions in one game. He is a tough competitor who doesn’t mind mixing it up in a physical game. He handles the ball well and can pass it well enough to facilitate offense from the forward position.
Evan Worley 6’7″ SI Select: The long and lanky post player Hillsboro had a couple of productive outings in the games I watched him play. He did a nice job of fitting in his skills without trying to force things to much. He held his own against similar size kids with bigger bodies with his good finesse moves and shooting touch that extends from the lane out to the 3-point line.
Isaiah Esker 6’9″ Arsenal Hoops Elite: A big, strong post player from Parkway South who gets up and down the court well for a big kid. I like the way he sits down in the post and establishes his position, which makes him difficult to move. When he keeps the ball up, he does a nice job of finishing, but he has to avoid bringing that ball down where the little guys can get it. He has improved a lot in the past year and has Division III schools expressing a lot of interest, plus and offer from the University of Dallas.
