Here’s a look at some of the best small college prospects who will be in action this weekend. They are ordered by the pool they are in on the schedule.
Jake Evans Jake Evans 6'1" | PG Male | 2020 State KY , Male/Louisville Prospects – Evans is a high IQ point guard who gets overshadowed a little by his teammates at Male. Jake has interest from just about every level of college ball and should be a scholarship player at the next level.
Jalen Scott Jalen Scott 6'4" | SG Conner | 2020 State KY , Conner/M.A.T.T.S. Mustangs – Jalen is a wing scorer but he can also attack the rim and is a capable defender against his position. If Scott gets hot from the perimeter he can make 3-4 threes per contest.
Joey Leachman Joey Leachman 6'5" | PF Louisville Collegiate | 2020 State KY , Collegiate/Kentucky Titans – Leachman is a good sized post player who can also step out and shoot a little. Joey has a big body and knows how to use it to establish position and battle for rebounds.
Tyren Moore Tyren Moore 5'11" | PG Male | 2020 State KY , Male/Manimal Elite – Tyren is a dynamic scorer who can play on or off the ball but does his most damage as a catch and shoot player who can torch the nets.
Jared Courtney Jared Courtney 6'1" | CG Woodford County | 2020 State KY , Woodford County/The Ville – Courtney is crafty with the ball in his hands and is comfortable creating offense for others or creating his own shot. Jared will be the primary ball handler for a talented Ville team.
Jaylen Barber Jaylen Barber 6'8" | C Great Crossing | 2020 State KY , Great Crossing/Charlotte Court – Every coach covets size and Barber is a big, strong kid. His hands have come a long way in the last two years or so. Finally showing some scoring ability, Jaylen has always been a shot blocking force.
Zeke Grier Zeke Grier 6'2" | SG Lexington Christian | 2020 State KY , Lexington Christian/Iam3rd Ice – Blue – Zeke is one of the best shooters in the 11th region and that’s where his strength lies with his AAU team as well. Grier has become a more effective driver over the last two summers also.
Tyler Slone Tyler Slone 6'5" | SF Oldham County | 2021 State KY , Oldham County/Louisville Legends – The only non-Senior on the list, Tyler actually plays up a level on the 17u for the Legends. Tyler is a nice catch and shoot player but his overall game continues to improve and he has added strength to finish at the rim.
Nick Keeton Nick Keeton 6'3" | C Paintsville | 2020 State KY , Paintsville/Pride Athletics – Keeton is a strong (albeit undersized) post who will not be denied when crashing the glass. Nick is maybe the best rebounder in the event as he has a nose for the ball.
Neil Baker Neil Baker 5'7" | PG Scott County | 2020 State KY , Scott County/Iam3rd Ice – White – Neil is smart and tough and continues to improve as a floor general now that he’s getting time to play with the ball in his hands going into his Senior year. What Baker lacks in height, he makes up for with high IQ and being a crafty finisher.
