ATZ Elite 16U Is Loaded
The ATZ 16U team isn’t a normal Adidas Silver team. In fact this team is consisted of some of the top Texas players who play on the EYBL Circuit, Adidas Circuit and UA Rise Circuit but have combined forces to create an independent super team. This team is led by C.J. Noland, Cason Wallace, Jalen Lake and Rytis Petraitis who are all Texas state ranked prospects. At the Adidas Silver Nationals Championships the four led their squad on the offensive end by combining for 55 of their teams 70 points in the championship win over the Illinois Jaguars.
Urban Asak Guards Step Up
In the 17U Championship game of the Adidas Silver Nationals, Asak Elite found themselves down by double digits at the half to Cap City Elite a New York-based AAU team. The deficit seemed like it was almost too much for Asak to come back from but their talented guards Jordan Teal, Caleb Golden, Max Smith and Jamal Shead stepped up huge for their team on both ends of the floor to ensure that their team came out victorious.
The Son Of An NBA Legend Shows Promise
Ryan Mutombo of Team Forrest is the son of retired NBA great Dikembe Mutombo. This past weekend versus the Texas Playmakerz 16U I saw flashes of his dad in the 2021 big man. Mutombo blocked shots, rebounded and finished plays at a high rate around the basket. He has a chance to be a really sought after prospect if he continues to show that he can affect the game more on a consistent basis.
