The class of 2021 Point Guards might end up being the most interesting of the positions over the next few years. You have a pretty obvious #1 and #2 with Khristian Lander taking the top spot and Jalen Blackmon just behind him. But it is those just behind them that will be the most interesting.
Gus Etchison, Lane Sparks, Luke Brown, Quimari Peterson, and Keon Thompson are so close in talent and will not only be #3 through #7 here in the position rankings but also the overall rankings. Some separation will likely come and it will be fun to see just how that will all go down.
As it always is with the point guard position in any given class, there are a ton of options. So much depth here and quality guys that could end up being starter-level guys for different levels. Scholarship schools should have no problem finding options as they could have as many as 30 or so players too seriously look at in a year. And that is even before we finish up the class so we could see expansion and growth within.
Overall, this looks like a good group. Two high-end talents at the top with a ton of potential DI options still to be sorted out and some really good depth developing this spring and summer already.
